   We dined twice at the Brown Swan during our short stay at Schroon Lake and everything was wonderful! The manager was extremely helpful and professional and made rounds to make sure guests were satisfied with the food and service. The entire staff was friendly, professional and accommodating. This made it a perfect dining experience for us! I would definitely recommend the Brown Swan to anyone looking for a wonderful meal and quality service. We will be coming back!

   Service was very good. Chili inedible and Schnitzel nothing special. Fireplace should be in the dining room not the lounge. Not worth the money. Priced for the guests not the locals who support they need off-season.

   The Brown Swan was very quiet on our arrival for dinner at 600pm. We were seated promptly. The drinks we ordered from the menu were unavailable. But, the manager came out and apologized for the delay and bought us a drink of our choosing for free. My wife loved the trout and I had the Schnitzel. Both were very good and flavorful. Overall, it was an above average experience!!

   Our server, Bri, was courteous and efficient. She took our order without any errors. The food was delicious. Between the four of us, there were two lobster rolls (the wives loved them). I had the burger, and the other was the Ruben. The french fries were delicious and hot.

   My family had a wonderful experience walking the grounds and enjoying the wonderful views of Schroon Lake. They have restored the wonder of this former word of Life site. The dining room is an awkward space that seems more of an after thought than a focul point. We atrtwd with Calamari and french onion soup. The Calamari was a huge hit and we have had Calamari all over the workday and this preperation was unique like no other. We also tried the French Onion Soup, also like unother but NOT for the good! Too herby, almost an Algerian twist NOTHING lol ke the fabulous soups we have tasted along all our travels. All the entrees were excellent with lots of flavor with the exception of the Pesto, which didnt seem to have the trafituinal garlic and basil and was very Lemony. The downfall of the night was the service, it did nothing to make us feel at home and taken care of. At most we felt like an after thought, waiting long times for drinks with the waitress stating its going to take a while the bar is busy. Whaat no dedicated restaraunt service? Far oess than high end. The waitress was mostly unseen, never checking back and lacked any knowledge of the menu and its intricacies! I asked what star h the oirk a hnitzel came with and was asked “whats starch” really…. Shame on you for not properly training your staff to perform their assigned tasks. I will return as the flavors and quality of food was well worth the price. I will only hope the service will match the beauty of the Lodge and the quality of the food.

   We had the best exprienced dining in here.. beautiful place lake view very relaxing and the service was the best!! We love thr foods and my husband said.. the best!!! To out waitress thank u so much we never forget your kindness and beautiful smile serving on us..
