On a sunny day, tables are allocated outside based on the date the booking was made (early birds!) We will do our upmost to accommodate you outside if we can. Please call us on the day to see where you will be seated as special requests are not guaranteed. We have zero tolerance for aggressive behaviour.

The Boatman, is Windsor’s only pub on the river at the foot of Windsor Castle overlooking Eton Bridge. Serving freshly cooked food all day everyday from midday to 9pm at night, in the cosy bar, restaurant or in the stunning riverside all-weather conservatory, there is a fine selection of wine, ales, cocktails to choose from.
The bar area and terrace is dog friendly, we cannot accept any pets in the conservatory or restaurant.

Had a lovely meal at The Boatman it's a lovely setting and right on the River Thames. Our server Titus was extremely friendly chatty and made our dining experience special..

Beautiful dining experience! Beautiful setting beside the river. Lovely background music, staff were very pleasant. Food was first class. Thoroughly enjoyed our pre-theatre dinner!

Food was OK for the price. Disappointed that for a pub advertising itself as the only pub by the river that you can't even see the river from inside?? It would have been better to have sat in the outdoor covered area by the actual river .....May have not been in use as too cold??? But heating there and customers given the option to there would be a much better experience.

Our party of 11, celebrating a family members birthday was exceptional. The staff were superb and nothing was too much trouble, down to a little thing such as candles for the birthday cake. The food was world class and the chef(s) should be rewarded with a Michelin star or two. Steaks, fish and chicken cooked to perfection and even our most fussy eater was impressed. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to The Boatman and highly recommend it to any future diners.
