   Looks great on the menu but massively did not deliver. Starters were ok but belly pork bits were 90% fat. Bacon chop main was just so salty it tasted like it hadn't been rinsed and overpowered everything. Mussels main was gritty and still had beards attached to some. Sauce was so watery it didn't taste of anything and chips were just full of salt again. Did complain and were not charged for the mussels. Promises alot but doesn't deliver.

   Amazing food, drinks, and incredibly friendly waiters and bar staff always being polite and welcoming. We had a lovely meal and would definitely go back

   Staff nice and friendly a great asset to the business, lights where very bright and ambient table lights didn’t work at all which creates a nicer experience/ atmosphere Food was lovely and well cooked

   The restaurant was very busy and it took a while to be given the menus and for our initial drinks order to be taken. We did receive an apology for this and from then on the service was excellent and the food came quickly after this. Our main meals and desserts were beautifully presented and were extremely nice. We were residents of the Marina Village so we had the pleasant bonus of a 10% reduction to our bill. I would like to visit again.

   The food was excellent. A great menu and choice. The food was delicious. Well presented, piping hot and plentiful. The marina view is beautiful. The Boathouse is a hidden gem. A relaxed atmosphere where you never feel rushed, always made to feel welcome and the food is always superb.

   Really friendly staff who kindly offered to move us to another table so we’d not be disturbed by other guests walking past. The view over the marina was beautiful at dusk. Food and service were fab. 3 of us had fish and chips which were delicious and my husband had the pork and leek sausages and mash which he said were perfect. Thank you.

   I had the jack Daniel’s chicken wings and fish and chips. Both very nice. Fish and chips came with tartar sauce, mushy peas and curry sauce which was a great twist. My partner had buttermilk prawns and mussels for mains. Both looked and tasted very nice. Big portions.

    We booked dinner for a Friday night to celebrate my 50th birthday with family. This was recommended and on previous reviews,advised to book upstairs for the view of marina. We were at a lovely window seat,and very quiet,just another table of 4 in the restaurant. Out waitress,Lorna was really attentive with our party and suggested some new choices on the menu.Our party had beef,prawns,hallumi and cauliflower to start. Fab.We also had the tandoori cod and pasta for mains. It was the best fish dish we have had! The rice pudding,poached pears went down a treat!Great birthday dinner!Well done to Chris the amazing chef! We will definitely try to visit again.Perhaps in the daylight to appreciate the marina next time! Please try to visit when staying or visiting the lakes.
