A classic British pub in the heart of the countryside, close to Castle Coch. We offer a selection of ales, ciders and lagers for the thirsty mountain biker. We pride ourselves on home cooked meals with fresh, local produce - our chips have been rated the best in South Wales! With a range of menu items to please every appetite, including our chefs specials that change daily, The Black Cock Inn offers a warm and friendly welcome to those travelling by foot, car or bike!
We have a dog friendly bar area, as well as an outdoor play park and plenty of seating in our beer garden, perfect for the "sunny" Welsh weather.

Good service and food. We were given a menu that was limited with the meal items. When we enquired about why another table being served differed meals was not on the menu, the member of staff didn't know until she enquired. Later she said there were printer problems all week. We did get 20% off our meals which was kind.

All excellent with excellent beef and turkey portions, Lovell deserts, only minor criticism is the relatively small portion of veg for 5 of us. But the veg was cooked well. Excellent value and great servers.

The food was lovely and service was excellent. Would definitely recommend. We were overcharged but that was an honest mistake and put right.

Lovely food, good quality. No vegan option on the holiday menu which was disappointing. I asked a waitress who spoke to the chef and they managed to put together a vegan chilli. My daughter enjoyed it.
