Staff friendly, professional, and made us feel welcome. There was a beautiful Asian woman who I believe is the manager—she’s outstanding! Our server was a beautiful Latina who was elegant, professional, and attentive. As a black woman, I felt very welcome and appreciated the female and multicultural representation. I will be back🤓

Afternoon Tea at The Biltmore DTLA is a bit pricey but in line with other establishments offering afternoon tea. The finger sandwiches and cakes were delicious with a higher proportion of sweet to savory. I was not expecting champagne and live music. Nico came around to each table asking for requests to play on violin. The Biltmore Hotel is truly a historic landmark in LA and you'll feel a bit like you're having tea service at Hearst Castle. The Royal Albert china was also a lovely touch. A big thank you to Mady Romero, the manager, who graciously helped me through a rescheduling dilemma.

For the price, I at least expected decent food. Sandwiches were stale and dry. Clearly made all at once and left out in the air.

For 2024 I’ve been having afternoon tea somewhere new each month and The Biltmore is by far the worst in terms of food and tea while also being the most expensive. Skip this.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. My wife was not happy with the first tea she selected. The staff responded immediately and found a replacement that she was happy with. Everyone was wonderful and very helpful.

Did not use advertised Siberian caviar instead offered tobiko a low quality Japanese fish egg, no salmon roe either

The Biltmore is a gorgeous hotel, full of art deco and the best of the early 20th Century Los Angeles. The tea-set is beautiful, the live music on the piano is wonderful and the pastries look gorgeous; perfect for instagram! However, that's where the good vibes end. The sandwiches were dry, clearly prepped far too far in advance of the 2:30pm tea time. The cucumber sandwich and the egg sandwich in particular were like eating a piece of stale (but beautifully prepared) toast. It is such a shame that so much clearly painstaking work went into creating this visually stunning sandwiches, only to let them sit for too long and then be hard as nails. The salmon mousse sandwich was described by my diner as "Glue-y", and I agree, the filling stuck to the roof of your mouth like a bite full of peanut butter (The flavour was good! texture was not!). The ham and cheese choux pastries were the best of the bunch, absolutely perfect. Unlike other Afternoon Teas at most other establishments, the Biltmore does not offer a second plate (we asked for a second helping of the ham and cheese puffs, as they were the most edible thing, and we were told by a shocked (shocked!) waitress that there were no seconds available). The desserts were not any better; simply perfect looking, but the macaron, for example, was so hard that it was as though the Biltmore had created a humongous skittle, cut it in half, and filled the middle with cream. The scones were so dry and crumbly that they disintegrated. The raspberry creme puff (also choux pastry) was the best of the lot, and actually delicious. The selection of three teas was quite lacking, and the one black & gold tea on offer was smoky to the point that it felt like we'd had a mild cigar. Additionally, the service team made us feel like we were overstaying our welcome after 45 minutes, despite being half empty, it seemed like we were being encouraged to depart. Biltmore: Please find a way to keep your sandwiches and pastries fresh.

Lovely space and amazing staff but WAYYY overpriced for what you get. The savory bites are acceptable but the sweet ones tasted of straight sugar and nothing else. If you aren’t an influencer, it isn’t worth $120 by a long shot. $75 would be generous. Parking is $25 minimum on top of it.
