The latest venture from restauranteur Chris Himmel and Executive Chef Robert Sisca, The Banks delivers inspired interpretations of coastal favorites and classic steak dishes in an elegant two-story space in the heart of Boston's Back Bay.                                                                                 This was our 3rd time to this restaurant. Had a reservation for 4 at 7:30pm. Arrived at 7:35, told they were running behind. Seated at 7:55, our order not taken till 8:30, food came at 9:15. The food was good, the waiter was perfectly nice, but the restaurant was clearly understaffed. We like it there, but for the price we would expect a crisper approach to customer service

The cocktails were delicious, the food was perfectly executed, and the “Caramel apple” dessert was as delicious as it was unique. The service was excellent as well - our server Camila was a delight.

                                                                                The Banks always delivers great food and service. The menu always seems to have the same core but the kitchen does an amazing job of introducing specials, new items, and tweaking the classics to reflect the seasons and different tastes. A special shoutout to the kitchen and waitstaff for providing that added “extra touch” for a birthday, going a little above and beyond.

                                                                                Tough day at Banks. Solo bartender also working the floor. Host and manager bopping around not doing too much. Many patrons waiting for anyone to pay attention to them. Only maybe 8-12 people in there max. This place won’t survive the winter.
