With extensive free parking available, and only a 6 minute drive from downtown, Baker's Table is an oasis of urban dining in historic Newport, Kentucky. This 30 year old antique oak table was hand crafted by a local baker and is the namesake of our restaurant. Available for parties of 7-12 guests. 3 hours allotted.     The menu with wine pairings were fabulous, Chef David and Sommelier's selection of wines from Burgundy were of great quality, and fairly valued.

    My wife and I dined here for our anniversary and it was perfect. Food was incredible, ambiance was perfect and the service was outstanding! Highly recommend.

    Baker's Table is one of our favorite restaurants in the Cincinnati area. Our recent experience at Baker's Table was excellent in every way! The seasonal meals were creative and featured local foods. I had the squash starter and trout main, both presented beautifully and both very tasty. My husband had the seasonal lettuces and pasta Bolognese, also very tasty and pretty to look at. The server knew the menu well and advised on which options were gluten free or could be made gluten free. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the delicious sourdough bread.

    -Ambience very pleasant. Tastefully decorated and bar is beautiful. Got a little loud by the time we left. -Service was flawless. Attentive without being overbearing. The manager welcomed us and played an active part in our experience. When we left, the bartender even opened the door for us! -The food was uneven: The bread was scrumptious. Wow! The beet and salmon appetizer was delicious. Smash hit. The pasta bolognese was excellent. It was made with pork and beef and was made exactly right: You could taste the wine, it was clearly simmered for a long time and was not too tomato-ey. The trout dish was good, the steak was cooked perfectly but the side vegetables were not to the diner’s taste. I kind of hate shishito peppers, they’re just not my thing. The gnocchi dish was very small and the taste of the sauce was kind of dull, basically pure cream. -The chocolate dessert was dreamy. A mix of chocolate in various textures, with a touch of mint. The pumpkin cheese was a miss. Forgettable and small. -They didn’t have the Pepsi our diner asked for. They did have a different cola that I liked and the other diners did not. They have a house-made amaretto that was excellent. The diner who had the prix fixe dinner added wine pairings. The first wine was serviceable but the second two wines, Pinot Noirs, were so new and tannic they were difficult to drink, even with sufficient breathing time. They were even tough to drink by the end of the meal, so they were left over. Overall, would I return? Yes.
