The Avery was an exceptional experience for my husband and I. We were promptly greeted by super friendly staff and shown a table right away. The staff was prompt, professional and a true pleasure to talk with about their recommendations for food and drinks. Born and raised in Boise, The Avery was a breath of fresh air. I'd recommend this restaurant for anyone celebrating an intimate occasion or simply wanting a relaxing night out. The entrees and appetizers were not your typical selection from the Boise "norm".

This was our first time eating at The Avery. We were very impressed, particularly with the chef-level food and the superb service. Our servers were both professional and personable. The food is incredible. Highly recommend the fried artichoke salad appetizer. Uniquely tasty.

Mushroom soup was fantastic and large enough to share. The beef duo dish was spot on. Definitely will return.

Excellent table in the back that was perhaps a little quieter, for four of us. Excellent ambience. Service was attentive, but a little slow initially( very busy Saturday evening). Appetizers were excellent. My husband ordered sole meunière, but it was halibut instead. ( he was told of the substitution). It was good, but not the flavor combo he had been anticipating. Lamb ragout, gnocchi, scallops and pork belly were delicious. It was nice to have different choices Pistachio souffle and crème brûlée were both delicious. There were a good choice of wines by the glass, and my sons liked their cocktails. Downside? It was quite loud, mostly due to a full restaurant with lots of conversation ( not due to loud background music). We will definitely go back.
