    Our table upstairs was spacious and not too near neighbouring diners. A speaker near us meant the music was a bit too loud but the friendly waitress turned it down as soon as I asked. The new Prix Fixe menu was quite different from last week, but our choices were delicious.

    The 3 course set menu is not only delicious but such good value and definitely recommend it. So lovely and welcoming with a log fire and candles on the table just what you want on a grey cold day.

    Superb location winter or summer. Food is tasty and plentiful. A great choice for drinks and food. Had a perfect table right by the log fire. Look forward to our next visit.

    My only slight quibble was the table behind us were squashed in and very loud so we couldn’t hear each other speak at our own table. Otherwise the food was great, the service brilliant and the log burner was welcome on such a cold night!
