I was so excited for this historic dining experience. I thought it would be amazing traditional service and exquisite food. Imagine my surprise to learn that napkins were at a “premium” and had to ask for one and then they took the fork from my salad plate and placed it on the bread plate for me to use again with my entree. Gasp. I was never offered a second glass of wine and while the Cod was fine, nothing worth writing home about. I mentioned bread and was told there was none (so why the bread plate!). I left in a record 39 minute dining experienced a bit sad, disappointed and somewhat confused. Hoping it was a bad night and will not be a habit of disappointment.

The food was excellent. The space was beautiful. The live music on Friday was excellent. We chose the corner table away from people to be able to listen to each other but between love sets the music they played was too loud and we had to repeatedly ask them to turn it down maybe 4x. Then they didn’t ask us if we wanted dessert and just handed us the check saying “do you want another drink?” We took their cue and departed. BUT our staff said the it was the waiters second night so it’s fine. Worth returning…

This place is mostly empty. The food was fine. The service was poor. It took forever to get our drinks and our check. The waitress hardly ever checked back.

Absolutely AMAZING!!! Excellent Service !!! The Manager Dimitri was very attentive!! Our bartender Karelina was wonderful!! Best Old Fashioned Ever!!! Excellent appetizers!!! Hummus!! Charcuterie Board!!! Salmon Sliders!!! All Outstanding!!!! The Honey Balsamic Chicken was BEYOND COMPARE!!! Delicious !!!! An amazing evening !!! A beautiful environment!!! Excellent Live Music!!! I had a very good Valentine’s Day date with my girlfriend the short rib was really good it was really tender. My girlfriend had the chicken and it was a little much but tasted good. The dessert was a little disappointing just whipped cream and 2 cholocate strawberries, also a macaron and a chocolate stick but my girlfriend did not get any in hers. The server was really attentive and nice she made the eventing better. For the price the flavor and amount of food is not worth it but overall it was a good experience and a good dinner.

I had a great experience overall the service was great on all levels, the bartender was very efficient and phenomenal the drinks was well balanced and I could tell it was the right ingredients every pour I really value consistency so overall I give a 10 being highest on the scale, the food was great well balanced and I could tell it was made with passion and love, the music was amazing I enjoy live music so the experience was amazing.

Valentine’s Day. They couldn’t find our reservation even though I had email confirmation and showed him the resv in the open table app. Implied it was my problem because there is no resv so no table. Even though we had proof! Basically was telling us we should leave but because we were insistent he would try to find a table. So we waited 15 minutes to sit us in a half empty restaurant. Saw him turn away several more tables because he “couldn’t find their resv.” Short rib was good and the live entertainment was great.

So nice to have a quiet, comfortable, “neighborhood” restaurant in the Gold Coast again. Great menu, well-prepared food (we had steak and delicious honey balsamic roast chicken) and reasonably priced cocktails and wine ($18 for a glass of Justin Cabernet!) Lovely service too. Will definitely be back.
