   Valentines Day, set menu with wine, perfect amount of everything and all cooked to perfection. Team members are always polite and talkative and this time did not disappoint. We had a fantastic experience, this is our favorite upper class dining experience in Launceston and will be back.

   A valentine's day treat. Shared starters offered variety and taste. My main of eye fillet was cooked perfection. Shared desert was perfect end to out meal. The whole experience was very enjoyable. Highly recommended

   I’ve never been to a restaurant where the menu is 1 page and the alcohol list is 22 pages. There was no fish, no seafood and the salad my husband received was a half cut cos lettuce sprinkled with possibly chopped onion and chilli and some sort of dressing, didn’t see no egg in it. Husband asked for mushroom sauce and didn’t receive it and my chicken dish was bathed in a sot sauce blend of disgusting. Paid only $100 for the 2 meals and we were starving afterwards. Never again . The last time we visited a few year ago was lovely but honestly don’t waste your money, go elsewhere.

   Service was lovely. My partner ordered medium steak, it came well overcooked and tough. Both desserts we ordered were less than ideal. Very overpriced for such mediocre food. Will not be returning.

   Today we had a beautiful Christmas Day lunch at The Terrace Restaurant - Country Club Tasmania. It was THE BEST meal we have ever had! There was a wide variety of breads and dips to start with, followed by amazing entrees including Octopus Salad, Salmon Sashami, Prawns and Lobster Salad. The mains were Mandarin Glazed Duck and delicious lamb accompanied by Hassleback potatoes, vegetables and salad. All were generous share plates except for the desserts where you were given a choice between Christmas pudding or a delicate berry meringue terrine. I am coeliac and vegetarian which I had put down in the initial booking info but sometimes when you eat out there are difficulties but not at this place. I was so impressed with the staff’s awareness and attention and care, the choices I had, the great variety of flavours including tasty dips and gluten free breads, mushroom and truffle risotto, salads, vegetables, cauliflower steaks to list a few. All plates were generous servings and beautifully presented. Overall the quality of our meals were outstanding, brilliant chefs with very friendly, gracious staff. The restaurant was tastefully decorated and had a very relaxed atmosphere with lovely views outside to the bush/ mountains beyond. We would definitely love to have Christmas here again!

    Most of the food was beautiful except for the food for the Coeliac. We were confused why she was told that the chips weren't gluten free, (specifically that the potatoes weren't gluten free despite not being coated in anything), her chicken tasted funny and there were no dessert options for her at all. Whilst the desserts did all come at once, mains were very spread out in their arrival. We ended up starting eating before everyone was served as meals were getting cold which one doesn't expect in a restaurant if this standard. One person didn't get her side until she'd almost finished her steak, staff were apologetic about this.
