   While vacationing in Sydney we were looking for something different. Tao is VERY small inside and very loud. What makes up for it is EXCELLENT food. We throughly enjoyed all our dishes, and for that alone we would highly recommend it. Is is near the Queen Victoria Building so if you are close to that we would recommend you give it a try!

   We had dinner here last night, but from the moment we entered, we were told about the 2 hr time limit, and then throughout the meal we felt rushed, & hovered over to ensure that we were out by 7:30pm (we arrived at 5:35pm) The half duck portion we ordered was a small portion already pre made into pancakes, and the fried rice had really small pieces of seafood. We had guests from South Africa visiting and felt rushed to eat and leave. Not enjoyable.

   Booking at 7:45, came in a little early just incase the table was ready. had to tell the man at the front my name 4 times before he could understand my name unfee the booking. Sat us down where we waited for anyone to talk to us for 15 minutes. No one explained anything about the menu or told us anything relating to the menu. We ordered 3 mocktails which took 20 minutes to arrive. When we ordered food after another one told us if it would be too much or anything. the food was too much for us to finish, we didn't realise the portions were so big. No one checked up on us or asked us how the food was. us dropped the food off and walked away. didn't ask us for anymore drinks or water. we had to stop the waiters ourself to ask for anything. food tasted good but we ordered way too much, which we had to throw out because we had to leave early the next day.

   When we arrived restaurant was busy. I booked at 7 arrived 7:10. Waitress said my name isn't on the booking restaurant and refused me sit in. I showered her booking confirmation then she finally gave me a table just a front of main entrance with dull face. We ordered few dishes but the funny thing was our appetiser was served at the last which was one of dumpling. Food was decent but the service was very poor. Place are not big and tables are too close each other can hear everything my next table. Accept the boss? Manager? No one was smiling also no willing to replace my plate with heaps of pipi cells. Don't think return there again.

   Super cool place, and service was absolutely wonderful. Food was some of the best we have had on our trip through Australia! :)

   Lunch was very welcoming and warm. The taste of the food shows how much care and thought is put in the taste, all the way down to the presentation. Portions are very generous. We come from Vietnam so it was a new (but pleasant) culture-shock. Booking was easy to do and instructions were followed well. Service was very fast and suitable for anyone in need of a quick but tasty bite for a limited lunch hour.

   The service and food here was amazing. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Highly recommend! We had a banquet as we had a group and it was easy and delicious.

   They offered our reservation to another Indian family and kept referring to them as our friends…we had no idea who they were. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt since there were only 3 people working on a busy night, but we were super rushed, didn’t get our drinks till we were almost done with dinner, tried to order dessert shortly after ordering our mains but were told the kitchen was closed, while they were still making our food? Food was good but overall experience was a mess.

    We were last sitting at 9:00pm a couple of nights ago . The food was great - no complaints there - fresh and delicious. Unfortunately we were under pressure to leave soon after the food arrived. My recommendation- don’t offer a 9pm sitting if you don’t want to service it. Don’t book the 9:00 setting, and you’ll probably enjoy great, fresh food.
