I atmosphere was great, view was awesome, food was meh. I had the brisket sandwich and literally 50 per cent of the meat was fat which I had to take off. It left very little meat on a very big bun.

The view from the restaurant is breathtaking, but the food and service need a lot of work. The appetizers (once we finally got them) were delicious. The protein mains and sides were ice cold when they were dropped off and the meat, other than the dry turkey, was 85% fat that we left. There’s also no seasoning on the meat, it was relatively tasteless. They advertise their bbq sauce, but we had to go grab some off another empty table as we couldn’t find our server. The corn on the cob was the best part of the main, but it too was cold. The grilled desserts were also cold, but that wasn’t a big deal for us. The pineapple was tasty, and I’m sure the donut is a hit with some, but it was way too sugary for us. Other than the apps and view, we’d say this was a skip for sure.

The ambience service and pavilion are outstanding. Sadly, the food was not. We ate there in the first year it opened. The food was excellent. I made a five star review back then. Last year, the menu was different from the time before and was pretty good. Still worth it. This time, the menu format changed, the food was not very good. The coleslaw was fantastic, so were some of the appetizers. The meats were not very good, sides were ok, grilled corn was boiled first before it was grilled. It was soft and tasteless. They only had to grill it to be crunchy and tasty. We weren’t keen on the menu structure but that’s a personal opinion. The desserts were fine. Drink menu good. We won’t return unless the menu changes. With that said, for tourists who want a gondola ride and eat and drink, it’s worth the experience.

The menu has changed this year and it’s not appealing. Won’t go for dinner with the fixed price menu. Use to enjoy going to the Pavilion a few times a year. Not any more Poor value for your food.
