   In Knoxville for a night, staying at the downtown Marriott, and chose this restaurant due primarily to its proximity; SO glad we did! Walking in, you pass plenty of outdoor seating when weather permits. Inside, very cool interior with a breathtaking array of beverages for concocting the perfect cocktail - stacked high behind an extra-long bar. Inside, booths, tall tables, and standard-height ones lit by industrial hanging bulbs adjacent to traditional crystal chandeliers add all kinds of ambiance. There were a lot of delicious-sounding offerings for dinner, but we opted instead to try a few appetizers that sounded too interesting to pass. The cheeseburger Egg Rolls and Colossal Tiger Shrimp were definite hits, but the Spicy Tuna Bites weren't the taste match we had in mind. Without our asking, the management removed them from our bill. And finally, our server. Taylor was efficient and charming and made our first visit delightfully memorable. Highly recommend.

   The halibut was as good as we have ever had. The charbroiled oysters are a must try!!! Cocktails make this place a gem! And Taylor was killer waitress! Listened to our preferences and suggested the perfect cocktails and entrees. Absolutely love this place!

   Our experience at STIR was amazing!! We just got engaged a couple hours before and went there to celebrate. The hospitality and food was amazing and it was such a great experience! Would highly recommend STIR to anyone.

   Large vibrant/loud space, very good craft cocktails and very large spirits list - wines, not so much. Great spot for a quick in and out - they don't seem to want folks to linger. Very varied menu with a lot of value priced food items, with emphasis on seafood. Although we've never had a tuna poke salad on a brick of very cold sushi rice before.
