STIR is the perfect restaurant to sip a craft cocktail over a dozen oysters, enjoy a night out, or meet for lunch. Located in the historic Chattanooga Choo Choo complex, the restaurant is an open-air concept with a large, heated outdoor patio. We are open for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.

Great food starts with fresh, local ingredients. Our kitchen prepares everything from scratch, and our signature raw bar is stocked with fresh oysters and seasonal seafood.

STIR is famous for craft cocktails. We freeze and carve 300-pound blocks of artisanal ice in-house, age certain cocktails in oak barrels for richer flavors, and place others on draft for crispness and carbonation. The result: categorically elevated cocktails. Our passion for fine spirits also compels us to find and share rare bottles, many of which are extremely difficult to procure.

    We loved out lunch at Stir today! My husband had the hamburger with the accompanying wedge salad and fries. He said that it was amazing! I had the fish tacos with the truffle fries. The tacos and fries were outstanding!!! We had the chocolate mousse with the cinnamon crisp cookies, raspberries, whipped cream and chocolate chip garnish. WOW!!! We will definitely be back to Stir for another great meal! Loved the free valet parking too.

    Fabulous service and even more fabulous food! I sat outside on the patio and read a book while I dined. It was the perfect ‘solo dining’ experience.

    This was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The charbroiled oysters were fabulous. We had the fish tacos and lobster crab cakes as well. They were truly delicious. My wife wanted a sphere ice cube but didn’t really want any of the drinks they are used for. The waitress surprised us by making the sphere ice cube at our table. I feel she went above and beyond on our service.

    My friend and I meet for dinner usually once a month, and we continue to meet at Stir because the food and service are very good. We wish Stir would put the Veggie Chopped Salad back on the menu.
