This is my go to place for lunch and dinner. Fabulous ribs, trout, French dip and sushi. Great cosmos and gin drinks.

Our waitress, Alex, as always, provided us with superior service. When we arrived she asked, "The usual?" And after we answered, "Yes, please, " she repeated our usual order just to make certain she had everything right.

I usually ignore opportunities to write a review, however, with Gulfstream closing I was hoping that South Beverly could be my new go to restaurant. Unfortunately the management philosophy is not the same as Gulfstream which was always accommodating and wonderful. Two examples: 1. My adult daughter is a very picky eater, and her go to meal is a grilled cheese sandwich--South Beverly refuses to serve anyone over 12 the grilled cheese sandwich, even though they can make it for those under 12, and even though I offered to pay for whatever adult price they wanted to charge. 2. At the last minute my friend's husband could join us, they refused to allow him to sit with us at our table, even though he could have been accommodated. It is really too bad. I will say the waiter was wonderful in the second situation, and it was clear that it was "managements" decision. Although the food is generally good, the rigid attitude leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
