What an amazing meal! Delicious so many choices and a warm welcoming atmosphere. Great drinks as well. Many choices for the vegetarian with us as well but plenty to keep meat eaters more than happy. Thanks for a great meal!

As always, South Bay was superb. From David’s warm welcome upon arrival to the marvelous menu and beautiful flavors, South Bay is a win-win experience. Highly recommend everything on the prix fixe lunch menu! Today’s crispy eggplant with burrata, followed by Pasta Bolognese were perfection. Great wine list too!

I used OpenTable to reserve a table for two and specifically selected a standard table, as high tops are uncomfortable for my friend and me. We are older women (not infirm, just not as nimble as we used to be) who need more back and leg support than dangling feet can provide. Your high-top tables don’t have footrests, which might have helped alleviate the discomfort, but still wouldn’t be ideal. When we arrived, we were told that due to a private party, there were no standard tables available. I mentioned that I had booked a standard table, but the waitress simply repeated that none were available. Had I known this when I made the reservation, I wouldn’t have come that night. Being able to sit comfortably during a meal really mattered to us—and I believe it matters to most guests. My friend ordered a hamburger and was told specifically that it would not be served on a Brioche bun. However, it arrived on a Brioche bun with cheddar cheese instead of the Swiss cheese she requested. While the burger was good, it wasn’t what she expected. She was not charged for the hamburger. I had oysters and the crispy red snapper—both were excellent. Parking note: While this may not be your responsibility, I think it’s worth mentioning that the man directing cars in the 255 Crown St. parking lot behind the restaurant was extremely rude. He insisted I back into a space (which I can do, but needed a little time), then began yelling at me when I didn’t follow his directions exactly. I found this upsetting, especially as an older woman alone in the lot. He was not offering helpful service, and his aggressive tone rattled me before I even entered the restaurant. Since your patrons interact with him as part of their overall dining experience, his behavior reflects poorly, whether intended or not.

Wife and I celebrating our anniversary. Nice wine selections available although over priced. Surprisingly large menu, I enjoyed Calamari although I don't know how adding julienne vegetables to it makes it Sicilian? Marinara Sauce served with it was weak. The Sicilian meatballs where bland served with the same sauce, again I don't know how adding raisins and pine nuts to it make it Sicilian? My wife enjoyed the Tuna tartare, very good and Osso Bucco good but sauce was weak. Affogato dessert was delicious. We dined on a Monday night so it was quiet, but by the looks of all the tables packed into this place I'd imagine it gets noisy at times. Very attentive knowledgeable service.

We went in with high expectations...left disappointed. -Food ranged from pretty good to bad -Beer on tap was not cold -Service was slow and had lots of hiccups - wrong food brought out etc -Waitstaff appears to be inexperienced -20% tip was auto added Price tag does not match the food and service provided.
