   We had a delicious evening meal here, with super efficient and friendly service. Despite the good reviews I’ve read, the place was super quiet (Sunday evening but with the Christmas markets in full swing), only two other tables in - bit of a shame but in no way detracted from a lovely meal. Would definitely recommend.

   Came for a 17:45 table at 17:52 and it had been given away. Appreciate it's a busy Saturday but that also means we had nowhere else to take us. Also it has been snowing so the travel conditions were not great - a 10 minute wait time should be standard.

   Food was good and staff friendly - only negative comment is that food didn’t arrive at the same time. We arrived with children and it was good that they were served first however one member of our group commented that we were not asked if it’s ok. Will definitely be back

   We were a party of 6 with various breakfast choices and everyone thoroughly enjoyed what they had. Staff were lovely and all the coffees were piping hot as was the food. Couldn’t fault anything.

   Have visited society bar and kitchen each time I have been in Edinburgh ...Have also passed on the excellent service we have received...food is also amazing

   Food lovely, friendly staff...but it was busy, and despite booking in advance, we felt rushed. I had barely finished my food and my plate was taken away while I was still chewing...I got the impression they wanted the table free, even though we were there only an hr.

    Not our first, definitely not our last visit to Society. Staff - amazing Food - amazing Value for money - yes, it is bang in the middle of the capital remember! Can't recommend enough
