Social 24, is City Social’s stylish bar boasting incredible views of London’s most iconic buildings. Dimly lit with art deco interiors, the bar is a glamourous yet relaxed setting for after work drinks, a weekend treat or a delicious lunch or dinner. Bar manager Catalin Ciont and his team have created a fun but sophisticated cocktail menu enabling you to find your perfect drink. The signature drinks are elegant twists on classic cocktails and the accompanying food menu is curated by City Social’s Head Chef Tom Lidakevicius. Social 24 has a lively atmosphere and seating 85, makes it the perfect venue for a party or pre-dinner gathering for both large and small groups. I went for a business lunch mid-week. Great view, nice restaurant, lovely staff, tasty food. However, I can't go back - the cheapest bottle of white wine was £55! They could really do with a house wine at lunchtime for people eating in the bar, rather than the restaurant. Then I would happily return.

I booked City Social for my wife's birthday, and had booked for the bar, where I intended for us to enjoy some of our favourite cocktails with the bar menu, which advertises a very different menu from the restaurant. We had not booked for the restaurant. This was a surprise for my wife's birthday and she didn't know anything about it until we arrived. After making our way up in the lift, we were escorted straight through to the restaurant. I was confused as this didn't appear to be the bar, but hadn't been advised of any change by the staff, so thought that all was well and perhaps we were being seated in the restaurant instead. I also didn't want to ruin my wife's surprise by starting to question things. However we were presented with the restaurant menu, with no mention of the bar menu or my booking which had requested the bar. On the web site it states this menu is available 12:30-2:30. Not wanting to spoil my wife's suprise, I went with it. The food was very good, but I am very surprised that City Social did not contact me to ask whether moving our booking to the restaurant was ok. There was a significant difference in price between the two menus, hence the reason I booked the bar. I am only writing this public review because I contacted the restaurant by email to explain the above and have had no response in 48 hours. I think this is really poor customer service and I would not be recommending City Social to friends and family.

Second visit and not as good as the first. It felt rushed. We were not asked if we wanted a starter or any side dishes with our main meal of fillet steak. The dessert choice was very limited and not to our taste. When we paid we asked if we could have had some side dishes with our meal although not listed on the bar or main restaurant menus. We were told if we asked we could have had some. We were really looking forward to this experience as it was a treat. We left disappointed. Very unlikely we will return. We have had a lot better else where.

First visit to the “social” part ie the bar. Great feel to the place and amazing views over the City at night. Loved it. Downside? One vegetarian choice on bar meal menu and that was a starter Al- pumpkin arancini. Delicious but what if I’d been hungry and wanted a main course?! Not very “PC” in this day and age. Otherwise really loved it and will return.

We previously went to the bar and had a great time. On this occasion they rang the night before to delay our booking with no mention of comp for the inconvenience. On the day, they took half an hour to bring our drinks despite the bar being almost empty, the food menu online didn’t match the one in the bar, we ordered olives which we had to remind 3 times to be brought over, we were then brought extra olives which we told would be free - then when the bill came they tried to charge us. Drinks were fine but nothing special for the cost. Overall - this was exceptionally disappointing.

Had to remind the waiter of our order 3 times, they served us the wrong cocktails 2 times long waiting time, it was freezing cold had to ask 3 people for the bill and when it came it was wrong, added a bunch of extra cocktails and charged £32 for a strawberry daiquiri which was incorrect when mentioned they took the bill away and changed it but 3 attempts later it was correct. Stressful experience

The waitress we had was very rude. Started to clear our table before we were even finished. It took over half an hour for her to even take a drink order. Upsetting

My favourite London bar! even without the great views, it has a 'special occasion' feel to it. The staff were excellent, and hearing that on this occasion it was a birthday we were celebrating, we were presented with a celebration drink and a polaroid photograph of us. A very nice touch.

I went there with my husband to celebrate our relationship anniversary. I mentioned this in the booking in order to ask for a window table. We got a very nice table with view over The Shard and Walkie Talkie building. After ordering the drinks, we got a cake as surprise ( on the house ) and on the plate was written " Happy Anniversary" . Also they took a Polaroid picture of us and offered it in a nice personalised envelope. Will definitely go back there for drinks.
