   Amazing service. Chef checked on us during the meal multiple times. Amazing hostess and waitress. Best pork chop and shrimp and grits I’ve ever had. Small intimate environment perfect for a birthday or anniversary.

   My fiancé and I really enjoyed our meal at scratch kitchen. We were in no for a wedding and wanted to try it out. The shrimp and grits were excellent and Mr fiancé really enjoyed his pork chop as well. We were getting on a plane the next morning and we so disappointed that we couldn’t take boxes with us to go to have the left overs the next day. I would recommend this place if anyone is going to be in the Jersey shore area. Great ambience and wonderful food. But make a reservation for sure !! I didn’t realize how small the dinning room was. I am glad I made a reservation instead of just popping in.

   Delicious food (pork chop, steak and fish), appetizers (crab cake and clams), all fabulous. Desserts of carrot cake and toffee pudding a great end to a terrific meal. Atmosphere and service were perfect for a family Christmas Eve Dinner!

   We all very much enjoyed our meal. The calamari appetizer was reminiscent of the spicy RI calamari that we enjoy in New England. My branzino was delicious, my husband enjoyed his perfectly cooked steak and our friends enjoyed their short ribs and cioppino. It was our first time at Skratch Kitchen but it won’t be the last.

   Day and night from what it used to be, now I swear it’s 5 stars…. Absolutely delicious food, I’ll be dining a lot more often, the service it’s attentive and very nice waitresses and waiters , please give it a try

    This was our first experience at Scratch. Got a Saturday reservation week before Christmas at the last moment. Small but well appointed modern interior. While every table was taken the noise level was low allowing for conversation. Menu had enough choices. Would characterize as normal comfort food with recognizable ingredients. Not trying hard to be something exotic. Dishes were prepared well with good presentation. The only constructive criticism I would have would be that the food could have been hotter. Not a big deal but it would be nice to have heated plates. Service was outstanding. Our server hostess and even the owner checked on with us throughout the evening, nice touch. Given the explosion in fine dining pricing, we were pleasantly surprised at Scratch. BYOB definitely a plus. I would say the overall experience was very similar to The Poached Pear in Point Pleasant for a better value. Will definitely work Scratch onto our future plans.
