It was a v pleasant experience but we were there only for drinks and dessert. The waiter forgot to get hot water …:) We plan to come back again to experience the food.

We recently gave Sisters Thai in Tysons Corner a second chance, hoping for a better experience after a disappointing first visit, but unfortunately, it didn’t improve. On our second visit, we arrived early on a Saturday morning as one of the first guests, expecting prompt service. While we were greeted politely at the door, the experience quickly went downhill. Our waiter seemed unfamiliar with the menu, and once we placed our order, the wait for food was unreasonably long. To apologize, the restaurant offered two complimentary appetizers, but this didn’t make up for the delays, especially since the kitchen wasn’t busy at that time. The food delivery was extremely disorganized. Instead of bringing out all four meals together, the first dish came out cold, followed by two more plates 20 minutes later. One of those two orders was incorrect, and we had to ask the waiter to fix it. Meanwhile, the fourth order for our group was nowhere to be seen. When we asked about it, the waiter assured us it was coming, but 15 minutes later, he returned with a menu and admitted he had forgotten to place the order entirely. Our friend, understandably, declined to reorder at that point. We then asked for a side of Nutella for the dish they had messed up, but even that took another 20 minutes to arrive. On our first visit, the experience was equally disappointing. We ordered food and coffee at the bar, and while the food arrived promptly, the coffee did not. We waited over an hour for two cups of coffee, which didn’t arrive until 30 minutes after we had already finished our meal. Sisters Thai has repeatedly failed to deliver a cohesive dining experience. Meals should be served at the same time, not in a staggered and chaotic manner, especially when all four guests ordered together. The consistently poor service, long waits, forgotten orders, and lack of organization make it clear that this restaurant struggles to meet even basic expectations.

Service was very poor, possibly the worst experience I’ve had in recent years. The waitress couldn’t communicate because she couldn't speak English well, that’s a major issue when you’re a server. Then our food came out and they never brought out one of the dishes we ordered, not sure if it was because the waitress didn’t understand when we placed the order or it was some other mistake. Then there were no serving spoons to put the food onto our plates so we started using our utensils while we waited for our waitress. When she did come to our table, we were halfway done with our dinner. Then we asked her for fresh hot pepper, like the Thai chilis and she brings us black pepper. Overall, the service was so bad that it eventually made the entire experience awkward and more so because we had taken people as our guests, it just cheapened the experience. While the waitress was nice, that’s not all that matters when you’re in a customer service position. It’s competence.

The place is beautiful, and the food is excellent. Expect to spend about 50% more than you would at another Thai restaurant. Not sure if it was an extra busy night, but there were not enough servers to effectively service the diners in a timely manner. Service could’ve been much better for the money.

Yesterday, I visited and had a mixed experience. The service was okay—not particularly attentive but adequate for the evening. One positive note is the pricing, which is reasonable and aligns well with what the restaurant offers. I ordered a curry dish, and while the flavor was good, the vegetables were overcooked and lacked texture. Another downside was that my appetizer was served at the same time as my entrée, the waiter returned to the kitchen the dishes until we finished the appetizer, but which felt rushed and took away from the dining experience.

Ambiance and food was great! We were excited to try new menu items not found at their other locations and we were not disappointed. We really enjoyed the different themed areas of the restaurant, all very beautiful.

Beautiful space! Finally something with some style in Tysons Corner. Service was excellent and very attentive. Now the food. WAY WAY overpriced. Shockingly so in my opinion. I don't mind paying for good food but the fish was mostly breading and not much fish....a few vegetables....for $35. Not much fish for that amount of money. Fried Rice dish with shrimp was about $30. Seemed too high for fried rice. Will try it again to see if I feel this way with other entrees.

Great ambiance, beautiful decor, very friendly staff, and great vegan options! I’d appreciate the vegan options being clearly labeled on the menu, though:)

We recently visited the Tysons location of Sisters for a birthday celebration. This was my second visit in three weeks, and as always, the food was excellent—consistent with what I’ve come to expect from any Sisters venue. However, there are still some operational issues that need attention. On a Saturday night, with a full slate of reservations, the restaurant should be better prepared for high volumes. After being seated for our 6:45 reservation, we waited 15 minutes before a server greeted us or brought water to the table. When the server arrived, we placed orders for drinks and appetizers, but the drinks took over 25 minutes to arrive. Unfortunately, the appetizers were served before the drinks, which felt like a service misstep. The delay seemed to stem from the fact that they only had two bartenders and no barback. Additionally, getting water refills was a challenge during both of my visits. It might be worth considering placing a water pitcher on each table so guests can help themselves. Also we were sharing meals and when the plates arrived there weren’t any serving spoons included and when they were requested they were never brought out. We were seated in the front room again, which, while visually appealing, is very noisy due to the open layout. Next time, I plan to request seating in the side room for a quieter experience. Another issue was the cold draft from the entryway. While the entry design attempts to minimize weather intrusion, the lack of a proper waiting area means the front door frequently opens, letting cold air rush in. Because the walls don’t extend to the ceiling, the cold air travels farther into the dining space, and we could feel it even near our table in the back by the café. While I love Sisters for its fantastic food, I hope these operational and design concerns are addressed soon to enhance the overall experience.
