Barklys Hotel is a newly renovated pub in the heart of Heidelberg. The interior is modern industrial with a fun ambiance that works equally well for a night out with friends or a dinner with the family, with a newly renovated beer garden for the perfect social experience.

We are located on the corner of Burgundy St and Cape St, five minutes drive from Ivanhoe, Rosanna, Macleod, Watsonia.

We offer modern Australian bistro meals, pub favourites, tapas in our bar, cocktails and drink specials!
With a heated terrace, foxtel, wifi and live music on Sundays, there is always something for everyone.

Our kitchen stays open from Friday to Sunday 12pm- late

We all had a lovely day at Sir Henry Barkley for our Christmas dinner. The food was delicious, entree, main course and then sweets. We all came away feeling very full. A little noisy but a great day nether the less.

Staff were friendly and attentive. Christmas lunch was excellent - good choices and high quality. Really enjoyed and will most likely go back.

Have eaten many times at Barkleys , however last night the food was below average. Ordered the pork snitzel and it was so dry and tough, really disappointed. Cocktail ordered was top quality, a little expensive for a pub, however enjoyed my drink.

We had Seafood Tagliatelle, with fresh salmon, prawns, pippies, broccolini, cherry tomato, garlic, chilli and white wine butter sauce. No taste, very disappointing. Chicken Parmigiana, in-house panko crumbed chicken breast, ham, napoli, cheese, crunchy chips and house salad good size and was enjoyed. Mentioned it was for a birthday for booking, but I question why you want to know when we arrived no mention of the word birthday. ***3 Stars***

Great food, huge amount of food. Kids menu small. Table also a bit small for the size of the plates for 4 people. However the food was really nice and staff very friendly. Its a favourite for sure

The water glasses were all dirty. There was a hair with something on it in my daughter’s drink. Then 3 of us found hair in our food.

Have been to the Sir Henry Barkly many times. Everything was good except my Pork Schnitzel was overcooked and dry. First time I have had an unsatisfactory meal. Will continue to patronize the hotel. Other meals were more than satisfactory.
