   I usually have an incredible experience at the Side Door, however this time the prime rib was not cooked to the temperature I requested. I like medium rare....and it was almost cooked to well done. Maybe it was because we were the last seating? With that said, I love the fact that the Side Door is open to 10:00 PM , except Friday and Saturday, when its open to 11:00 PM. I definitely go back, and make sure I am not the last seating.

This place is truly exceptional! From the moment we walk in, the service—from the servers, bartenders, runners, hostesses, and managers—is always impeccable. Every staff member goes above and beyond to ensure a delightful and seamless dining experience. The food is simply outstanding—every dish is thoughtfully prepared, bursting with flavor, and consistently delicious. The wine selection is equally impressive, perfectly complementing the meal and elevating the overall experience. This restaurant is also connected to Five Crowns, located just inside the side door—a wonderful addition to their exceptional offerings. Rose, the General Manager, is in a league of her own! Her exceptional leadership, personal attention, and dedication to excellence make this restaurant stand out from all others in town. She is, without a doubt, the best manager we've ever encountered, and she always ensures that every visit feels extra special. This restaurant is a true gem, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable culinary experience. It’s been our favorite for more than two decades, and it never disappoints.    Always a great ambience and experience. Additional festive element for the holidays which was great. The only bummer was the menu is more abbreviated than normal due to the holiday crowds, to allow the kitchen to keep up, which makes total sense, but still a bummer as some of our favorites were missing (French Onion soup!). But the food and service was amazing. We had the Provence salad and Caesar salads and both were fantastic. The chili was also delicious- very hearty and flavorful. We all had prime rib and nobody was disappointed. The desserts are one of the highlights for us—the sundae was amazing and the soufflé is worth the wait.

   My husband and I went to one of our favorite neighborhood spots last night and left disappointed. To our surprise the restaurant had a limited menu that we were told about after waiting for a while for a table and finally being seated. Therefore, that meant that there was no fish and chips and other Side Door options that we were looking forward to enjoying. We decided to stay and order what they were offering. It took a long time to receive our lobster bisque and when it finally came it it was COLD! The rest of our meal was additionally lackluster and mediocre at best. Our server was practically nonexistent. We realize that it is the holiday season but also feel strongly that the restaurant should be prepared for an increase in traffic, especially on weekend nights during this time of the year.

   Nick made us feel welcome for our first time visiting the side door. He was very accommodating for our family. I was surprised that during December they don’t have sandwiches, burgers or fish and chips on the menu. We were glad they had the child’s meal for one of our guest.

   The have limited food selection if Side Door pub favorites and the main menu is Prix Fixed. Very limited choices!!! And not great. Not happy with the changes.

    I have always enjoyed going there with friends. Last night the food was not good. I ordered the chicken pot pie and had very little chicken and too many onions. My wine was good and I enjoyed the environment.
