Review summary

AI-generated from verified diner reviews
Ship Tavern, nestled in Denver's historic Brown Palace, offers a "wonderful ambience" with a nostalgic charm. Guests rave about the "fantastic" Wagyu burger and "fabulous" prime rib. The attentive service, especially from staff like Anthony and Frank, adds to the experience. While some find the menu changes unwelcome, the classic atmosphere remains a highlight.

I’m very upset about the changes to the menu. This is an established restaurant. I’ve been coming since I was a small child. The French onion soup has never not been on the menu. I’d tell my aging mother but I fear she’d die. This is not welcome by patrons who have been coming for years. If the new chef wants to explore their creative license, find a new and up and coming restaurant to do that. This is the wrong establishment to put your spin on.

The Wagyu burger with the chorizo fondue and mushrooms was fantastic! It came out a perfect medium rare and I switched the regular fries for the sweet potato fries...yummy. Frank our waiter was so sweet and took great care of us and whe wine he suggested was wonderful. Thank you

I had the fish and chips and the fish was very good white flakey and tasty. My only thing is too many fries. If you have a larger appetite you will love it.hood value and great service.

Been here many times and I am never disappointed. In a world that increasingly lacks authenticity, The Brown Palace is a pleasant reminder of how things used to be done. A fine spot, indeed. So let it be written, so let it be done. The Senator

We had an excellent time! The food was delicious. If you’re feeling nostalgic for Personal touch, ambience and excellent food this is the place. The prime rib was to die for!

This is our go-to restaurant when downtown Denver. This time my flatiron steak was unseasoned, though otherwise outstanding. My wife loved her prime rib. Veggies were great and the desserts were great.

Very very slow service. Our waitress never came by to check on us. There are better places to eat in Denver.

Highly overrated. Fish and chips, 2 cokes, and one side salad…with tip over $100. The fish and chips were average at best. Extremely limited menu. For a 4 star hotel, not impressed.

The Le Noir cocktail was divine. The Wagyu burger, fried oyster sandwich were delicious and the club sandwich was very good.
