The Seven Stars Inn is the original Chester County steakhouse. We may be new to OpenTable, but we have been wowing our guests for over 275 years by featuring overly generous portions of the finest beef, veal and seafood served in a gracious white table cloth atmosphere. Legend has it that the Inn even served President George Washington himself in this very same historic building set in scenic Chester County.

The cocktail lounge is warm and inviting, and the well thought out wine list includes a broad spectrum of varietals and geographic origins.

Family friendly, the Seven Stars has not only a great Children’s Menu but also a Young Adult’s Menu. Both of these menus scale down the size of the serving and price of their offerings to help mom and dad afford an evening out with the whole family.

All major credit cards are welcomed.

This was one of the most disappointing meals I have had in a long long time. Christmas Eve out seems like a great idea. I wanted to go to my favorite restaurant, Seven Stars. It had been well over a year since i was there last, but over the last 40 years i have been these a hundred times. The portion size is still a staple but the quality has changed significantly. I suspect new ownership has been cutting corners. I love the place so much I got engaged there twice and over time have spent my most important celebrations there. Tonight was terrible. My sons $45 veal parm was not even edible, my wifes seafood mix for $65 was like leftovers at best; she left half of the meal in the small bowl. I never send food back, but my steak was room temp at best. For $80 i expect way more. The garlic mashed was terrible, the ceasar salad was Ponderosa level, with a ceasar bottle italian dressing ruining it all. Of course it was busy and our reservation was for 645 and we did not get our food until 9PM.. yep 9 PM. They had no rolls and we got 5 packs of crackers and a small bowl of cheddar spread. The service was fine, it was everything else that ruined by Christmas eve. I am so so dispappointed that after 40 years, I have to stop telling my friends it is my favorite place. WHoever owns it now, obviously has no idea how to run a restaurant. I suspect it is only a matter of time before it is resold or goes out of business. Thanks for the memories but unless something drastic happens it sadly will be lost to time.

This was perhaps the worst dining experience we have ever had. Admittedly, it was on Christmas Eve, but that actually made us feel worse. The server was good, but that’s where it ended. Prices are very high at this restaurant,so expectations are high. It took over 1.5 hours for our food to arrive, only to disappoint even further. 3 of us ordered the filet mignon, medium, at $65 each, only to find the meat was sinewy and tough, prepared wrong with one rare, one medium well, and one correctly. We sent the rare one back, and received again a rare, tough, inedible piece of meat. We gave up and the manager took one of the filets off the bill, and we took the other one home for the dog. Another in our party received his chicken dry and overcooked without the seafood topping and asparagus without the hollandaise sauce. I could go on about other more minor problems, but frankly it isn’t worth my time as we would never go back. One large party left after waiting way too long for their food to arrive, and another table had similar complaints to ours. We left a 20% tip on the entire bill as the manager and wait staff were very kind and had to endure the complaints of everyone, but I felt as though we had our pockets picked by this establishment, but shouldn’t take it out on the hard working people who had no control over the chaos.

Our sever was very attentive. The best thing I can say about dinner. Food was fair at best. Chicken parm was still raw in the middle. Person greeting us was very rude. We’ve been coming here every Christmas Eve for 5 years. Unfortunately, this will be the very last time.

Although the portions run a little larger than average, the food is so so. Not worth the really crazy prices that you’ll see at restaurants where the food is good enough to warrant that price. Went on Christmas Eve. My wife’s chicken Parmesan came out raw… actually pink and somewhat translucent. She cut pieces for our 2 year old to eat which he did. I got the veal Parmesan and it was no better than a veal parm’ that you can get any other place for half the price.

We like the quaint Seven Stars Inn steakhouse for special occasions. Michelle was our very attentive and kind server, but all the rest of the staff were very warm and professional, as well. The food is always outstanding with very generous portions.

Our meal at Seven Star was exceptional, highlighted by the attentive service from our server Jacob. The holiday cocktail, Snow Man Martini, added a festive touch to our experience. We enjoyed a variety of dishes, including the filet, baked stuffed shrimp, and veal parmigiana, all expertly prepared. For dessert, the Key Lime Pie was a perfect finishing touch. Seven Star has been a family favorite for many years and will remain a top choice for the future.

We got there at 7:30 we had to ask where our food was a little after 9. We had placed our drinks, apps and food all together and somehow everything just took forever …. Waited for bread for over 20 minutes after asking again- once the food came it was cooked the wrong temperature and the sides were cold ….. I wouldn’t go back, unfortunately.
