   Disappointing Experience at a Previously Exceptional Restaurant We’ve dined at Sear + Sea before and had an incredible experience, which is why we decided to visit again during our stay at the JW Marriott Bonnet Creek. Unfortunately, this visit was a major letdown, both in terms of service and food quality. The evening started poorly when our 8:30 pm reservation couldn’t be found. We were finally seated close to 9 pm, already a frustrating start. Dining with our toddler, we placed his meal order alongside our drink and appetizer requests, asking for it to be expedited. Despite this, it took 30 minutes for the server to inform us that one of our appetizers was no longer available. By 10 pm, we finally received our appetizers and our child’s dinner, which felt far too late. The main courses didn’t arrive until another 30 minutes later, and by this point, the food was underwhelming and not at all worth the wait. My wife had to leave early with our sleepy child, while I had to stay behind hoping to find someone so I could settle the check—a far cry from the enjoyable evening we envisioned. Service was also a huge disappointment. While other tables seated after us received attentive service (water refills, small complementary bites, or at least regular updates), we were left chasing down staff for basic needs like water or an update on our meals. In summary, this was an unacceptably poor experience for a restaurant with such a strong reputation. The combination of lackluster food, slow and inattentive service, and overall disorganization made the evening far from enjoyable. Sadly, I can no longer recommend Sear + Sea, especially for a special occasion or evening out.

   1. We waited at the entrance for 12 minutes, while the hostess girl went and saw off the customers in front of us, who also waited a long time ... 2. We were sitting outside and it was 48 degrees that evening, they gave us blankets, but there weren't enough of them, in the end we froze and left … In my opinion, it was possible to think about the customers and put a burner or move the tables inside. 3. The table was not standing straight (dangling), it was annoying 4. The bread was brought to the lobster bowl when we had already finished it. About of the advantages were the good work of our waiter and a nice cuisine.

   We were here for a New Year's Eve meal. It was crowded, a full house. I expected the food quality to suffer. It didn't. Everything was prepared exceptionally well. The seared fois gras was as good or better than any I have tried 👌

   Niki delivered memorable service on New Year's Eve. She has tremendous knowledge of the menu, cooking techniques and libations. She is an utmost professional. Sear + Sea offers a different steakhouse experience because many menu items are prepared over a white oak wood-fired grill. Steaks and asparagus are grilled to perfection, and less greasy than you might experience at other steakhouses. Another highlight was the amuse bouche - cornbread, caviar and a delicious sauce served neatly on a plate that looks like an oyster. This whimsy touch was a thoughtful addition to the meal. All food was exceptionally fresh, neatly plated and delicious. Was the house special octopus the best I've had? No. Did we clean the plate? Yes. If I were to return, I would have tried the prix fixe menu, which may have offered better value. That said, if you're coming to S&S in pursuit of a cheap meal, then this restaurant isn't really for you. Enjoy, indulge and try something new from their excellent menu.

   Food was really great, but we were there to celebrate an important milestone. We were seated near crying children, and we were very overdressed...jeans and t-shirts were the norm. This was unexpected for the ambiance presented online and the expense of the menu. Food was great, ambiance disappointing.

   Wonderful place to dine. Food was delicious, service was exceptional and paced very well, wine selection was outstanding. Very much enjoyed our meal there!!

   I have a bunch of allergies and they could not have been more accommodating. The food is delicious and the service is very attentive. Great place to go for a wonderful meal.

    Looked forward to Xmas dinner here. Service was good and setting very nice. However, was very disappointed by the food starting with an odd amuse bouche of chestnut cream that overwhelmed dry mushrooms in a tart. This was followed by “medium rare” lamb loin and 8oz filet that were cooked well past medium and were dry and chewy. Can’t believe this place is listed in the Michelin app (with no star or distinction) as it is a LONG way from getting a bib, let alone a star.
