So much fun and sooooo tasty! I love that the chef came out to talk about the dishes and the history behind the menu. It was something I’ve never experienced before. It felt very friendly and like we were literally having a dinner party in their home.

This is easily one of the best dining experiences in Philadelphia. Liz and her staff are amazing. Really enjoyed the verbal descriptions of the region and courses during dinner. Super informative and highly entertaining. It’s great to see a young chef 100% committed to her craft. Impressive.

Third time at scampi and it never disappoints! Liz and team are incredible, churning out the noodles and jokes all night. Menu changes monthly, but the filled pastas are always one of my faves!

Scampi offers a fresh and engaging take on Italian cuisine. Chef and owner Liz is producing regional Italian cuisine with intention and authenticity. At least that is my impression! I am no expert on the real intricacies of Italian cuisine, and I will happily take Liz’s word for it. Her passion and experience with Italian food is evident in not only her cooking, but her presentation of the dishes. I truly appreciate a little “song and dance” throughout a meal to give context and to break up a multi-course affair. Liz is very relatable both one on one and in front of a crowd, and her casual demeanor comes off earnestly. Our menu in April was based on the food of Liguria, which outside of pesto Genovese, was a new experience for me. I was exposed to an amazing array of techniques I had never seen before, which is always exciting when the cuisine is one that you feel like you are pretty familiar with. I truly loved the veggie heavy spring offerings and lesser-known handmade pastas being served in all of their forms. The portions were very reasonable and I felt more than satisfied at the end of our meal. Highlights for me were the flatbread, Corzetti pasta, and the tiramisu.

Such a wonderful experience! The food was excellent, and we didn't realize the meal included some background and history about the region of Italy and how the food we had was made, which we loved! Liz and her team are clearly passionate about what they do, and it shows in how delicious the food is. I can't wait to come back and try out future menus.

Wonderful experience and loved the one menu concept featuring small portions of so many interesting pastas. The atmosphere was cozy and charming and much like a small family dining setting. The price of the meal was very reasonable for the variety sampled and interesting to hear the chef’s explanation of the Italian regions where they originated. Definitely recommend! Oh, and the tiramisu was outstanding! Will go back!
