Scala Osteria offers traditional Southern Italian, seafood-centered recipes meant to be shared with family and friends in our warm and vibrant dining room. Our menu is influenced by the traditional Italian osteria where creating simple yet delicious food is paramount, and our atmosphere is always inviting and full of life. From our beautiful oyster bar to our house-made pastas and Neapolitan style pizzas, we have something for everyone. We offer varying experiences, from folks grabbing a quick bite on their lunch hour, to couples stopping in to delight in our Oyster Bar, to parties spending hours enjoying delicious Southern Italian fare with perfectly paired wines. Sister restaurant to valley favorite, Bistro Don Giovanni, Scala Osteria is located on vibrant First Street in the heart of Downtown Napa. We are open daily for lunch, dinner from 11:30am to 10pm and late night service from 10-11pm.

    My husband & I enjoyed a wonderful & delicious dinner here. We started with a cello lemon drop & beer. We also ordered oysters & Caesar Salad. Both were excellent not too much dressing and a very generous portion for the small plate. I then ordered the veal Marsala which was prepared perfectly. One of my favorite yet hard to find dish. My husband ordered Lasagna and said it also was prepared to perfection. Not drenched in sauce but very flavorful. We finished our meal with Tiramisu light and very delicious. The noise level was a bit high though for a Thursday night the place was full. We sat in the front near a large table of guests so that was part of it. The restaurant is very pretty and has a very lovely ambience. We will definitely go back again.

    The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. The clams, shrimp and pasta dish is delicious and perfectly seasoned. The homemade bread is fantastic. And the zeppole dessert is a must have! I can’t wait to go back!

    What a warm welcome from the friendly hostess at the front door!! It’s so nice to see a bright smile and be greeted enthusiastically !! Lunch was great. Just a treat to be there.

    We went back For a 1 PM lunch after too long a hiatus. Highlights ? Many! Fried stuffed olives are always a hit, the sole is still the tops, New York strip steak was perfect,  perfect al dente fettuccine Primavera. Need to go back soon

    This is a mixed review. Friends recommended Scala to us, so we went to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant very thoughtfully left a birthday card on the table! Very classy. The noise level was off the charts, though. 2 large parties were seated behind us, at the front of the restaurant. They were screeching and yelling, the sound bouncing off the front windows. We could barely understand each other. Food: we had the snap pea and radish salad which was really good. The lasagna was tasty, but the pasta was really mushy. The waitstaff was awesome, we were well taken care of.

    Outstanding restaurant! It’s rare when a restaurant hits on all three- food/menu is excellent, service is next level and the vibe is perfect. Scala is a treasure for Napa and the surrounding areas!
