Delicious food. Crab cake is unusual but tasty. It's not pan fried like other crab cakes I've eaten. There were three of us at dinner and we ordered the swordfish, halibut and salmon dinners. All of the fish and the sides were very good. We will definitely come back to the restaurant to try the other food on the menu.

My wife and I had an outstanding experience at Sandpoint. We were warmly received as we entered and our experience went up from there. Our server went out of her way to make us feel valued. Then the food began. Our fresh oysters flown in that day were excellent. My moved on to the Lobster bisque soup and Clam chowder. We couldn't decide which was better, but the bisque was the best I've ever had. Finally, we shared the Cataplana, Portuguese seafood stew. The portion was very generous which outstanding spice profile. We topped off the evening with a buckwheat/brown butter tartlet topped with ice cream which was...WOW! Their menu has a variety of seafood, vegan and other meat items, so if seafood isn't your thing, you can still enjoy this fine restaurant. Best wishes to the owners and staff. We loved everything about Sand Point and will definitely back.

I thought the restaurant was over priced. We waited almost 10 minutes after being seated when I finally asked the hostess if we could have some water. It wasn’t busy so maybe there was some confusion about which server would be helping us. It was a little odd but not really a big concern. We ordered the prix fixe menu on Saturday, it had also been served on Friday. My date and I agreed that we were eating leftovers for the price of one hundred dollars per person. The texture and quality wasn’t what it should have been, and my date found about half of the food served inedible. It was a disappointing meal, followed by tums and horrible gas at 2:00 AM.. I hope this restaurant can improve and be successful because I think it has potential, but as it stands, I couldn’t recommend it.

For a special occasion, Valentine’s dinner if you are a wine enthusiast wine tasting was subpar low shelf grocery store variety not worth $50. All the food came out lukewarm.

This was our first time to this restaurant and I will certainly go again. The hostess was great, and our waitstaff was too. I think our server was fairly new, but she had a very experienced staff member nearby to answer any questions that she couldn’t answer. The food was so beautifully prepared, it rivaled some of the meals I’ve had in New York and Paris. So what were the cons? I feel like this restaurant isn’t sure if it wants to be an upscale, intimate seafood restaurant, offering an amazing dining experience or a sports bar. I think I counted 9 flatscreen TVs suspended from the ceiling. I could see having some over the bar, but some literally 5 feet in front of your face while you were eating was a little much. Also, for the evening I would turn the lights down, it was way too bright to have a romantic or intimate dining experience. And lastly, though the food was beautifully prepared, cooked perfectly, both fish dishes needed more flavor and seasoning. I have extremely high hopes for this place, a little tweaking, and this could easily be the best seafood restaurant in Omaha.
