   The food and service was outstanding but where they sat us to enjoy my wife’s birthday meal and our meals was disgraceful. It was like a separate room for kids to eat in. The room was called the Sushi Room and I think we would have been better off sitting at the bar! This room is not fit to be a dining room and Salt Rock should be ashamed of themselves for using it as one!!!

   Steaks and sides were very good. The cauliflower (I recommend) was terrific. New Years Eve special was fun.

   We went for NYE dinner it was a little noisy for me as they had a band, but overall the ambiance was lovely as we could see the fireworks going off and boats going up and down the water lit up for the Holiday.

   New Year’s menu changing was confusing. Both us and the staff seemed confused. Normally great restaurant but I will avoid New Years. Price hikes for later with band and new years celebration seems fine but we had the normal food for 3 times the price when we went.

   Amazing grouper and steak. Highly recommend enjoying the dining experience they offer. Upscale dining in a beachy atmosphere.

   We had 7:15pm reservations and were handed a pager when we arrived at 7:12. We were seated about 7:25pm. No benches in the entrance foyer for waiting so we sat in the bar; got a funny look from bartender when he discovered we didn't want to order a drink. The sound level was high on arrival; we asked the hostess for a 'quiet' table and they sat us in a booth, away from the worst of the noise. Service was a little slow to arrive but was generally good all evening. The wine list was extensive; prices included typical restaurant upcharge but weren't crazy high. Food charges seemed OK, too. We ordered dinner when we ordered our wine. I ordered chowder, Caesar salad and swordfish dinner; my wife ordered salad and fish dinner. Bread came quickly and was hot. Chowder tasted good (but I could tell was FULL of salt). My Caesar salad arrived *without any dressing*, just shaved Parmesan cheese on a bed of lettuce. That was sent back and replaced with a house salad at my request. At that time I was informed the restaurant was out of swordfish and had to make another selection. Main issue: we asked at 8:40pm when our dinner might be arriving, and we were told it would be another 10 minutes, that the kitchen had been running behind all night. Remember, we had 7:15 reservation. At that point my wife cancelled her dinner and ordered dessert (bread pudding) which was pretty fabulous. I had changed order to mahi imperiale; it was a tiny bit overcooked but overall pretty good. Diners around us ordered sushi platters and other items which all looked good. Overall: 1) SRG has been around 30+ years and should have patron flow and kitchen capacity down to a science by now; I could understand pager for walk-in customer, but why with a reservation? And over 1 hour wait for food? 2) despite a few bumps, food and service was generally good 3) noise level was high, making normal conversation difficult. Will leave this one for tourists, big groups and folks who don't mind barn-like acoustics

   Salt rock Grill is always a great dining experience . Pleasant waiters, on the ball, always smiling, friendly, and great service, great food and cocktails, nothing else to say about that.

    Sean was our server. He was excellent, very personable and professional. Food was delicious! We had the Mahi Mahi and it was scrumptious. Will be returning soon!
