   Service was terribly and awfully slow. Everyone around us that arrived much after us received their food way before us. Our server lied to us after our first complaint saying food was almost out and ready. Not so. After asking a second time said it wasn’t ready. Same server then dropped plates on the floor that cracked, next to our table and one of us got food splatter on. Ordered avocado toast with another appetizer (soup) and it arrived after our mains. Frustrating & Disappointed.

   I was looking forward to Sadelle’s! We went with 4 adults and 4 kids. Not disappointed at all. I wish the menu was more extensive but everything was wonderful. We had the salmon Benedict added avocado, the French toast and the salami eggs with Dijon. All were fantastic. They don’t have a kids menu, which is not great for picky eaters and their portions are just too big so it was a waste of money. Kids hated the big and fluffy French toast, but we loved it. I would go back without kids next time

   All was great except when I asked to be sat outside per my reservation- I was asked to prove that I requested outside, she was rude!

   Not a good experience. Waited about 5 minutes at check in desk while the reception person chatted with a friend with a growing line behind us. Told to wait until table was ready (we were five minutes early and the place was half empty). Then shown to inside table despite reserving outside table. Forced to show reservation details before being seated outside. Brought waters, which had faint taste of coffee residue. Ordered a coffee and a tea. Brought two coffees. Then surprised when I asked for my tea. Meal order went to wrong table, we had to intervene to get our food. Eggs Benedict were room temperature, suggesting they were made in advance and just rewarmed. On the bright side, pancakes and latke were good. Expensive at $100 with tip for breakfast for two. The final straw is the pen they brought to sign the check was out of ink. There are so many better places to eat in coconut Grove, I would give Sadelle's a pass.

   Food was good, service atrocious. We had to ask for our drinks (black coffee and hot mint tea) multiple times. It took 45 minutes to get them. The manager was aware. The least she should have done is taken the drinks off our bill, which was $500 for 7 people. Maybe offer dessert on the house?  Instead, a server put a chocolate chip cookie on our table by mistake and charged us for it.  When spending that kind of money you expect better.

   We had a reservation with my mother, the hostess proceded to tell us that our table was being set up so we had to wait . The restaurant was not busy at all . Meanwhile she sat everyone behind us on the line. My mother is 80 years old and the hostess ignored us ! When she finally wanted to give us a table 10 min later, it was the worst one in courtyard, there was still many tables available . She “let ”us move ! Then we waited forever to order and then for them to bring the order with no plate for me to eat out of .. I had to go to the hostess desk to ask for a plate . She was like we are busy right now ?! It was just such an unpleasant experience zero organisation in this restaurant or manners and the food was so bad that day . I have been about 4 times and always a bit chaotic but not like this ! And then they expect us to pay for service ?? What service ? Pity as I used to love it there. But you need better management and hostess.

   A member of the party is allergic to shellfish and was mistakenly served a salad with Shrimp. Also a server missed the table with a tower of salmon and accompaniments causing it to land on a member of the party’s lap. While they replaced the tower and salad, they did comp the salad from the bill. For a restaurant this caliber, this shouldn’t happen.

   Food is delicious. Restaurant is full of energy. Tables are very close together, nearly on top of those near you. But if you are looking for a fun brunch spot this is your place. Get the caviar latke!
