   We had the half rack rib with fries, the meatloaf and the trout dip as the starter. First the ribs were cooked wonderfully, don't expect a sloppy pile of over sauced ribs, they were a nice mix of spice and sweet with Fresno chillies giving it the nice heat. The fries were cooked well and not overly greasy . Second, the short rib meatloaf, not your mom's loaf that's for sure. They shred the ribs not grind them and cook somehow to make a delicious sort of confusing dish, the potatoes and broccoli as the sides were damn near perfect to me. The app we had was the trout dip, WOW is all I can say, they did a great job of preserving the flavor of the fish and not over running it with salt or a bunch of capers. The small amount of pickled veggies included along with the thick cut chips complemented the dip nicely. The service was I am sure slow for some folks but when we go for a nice sit-down mid priced dinner it is nice to not be bothered a bunch, the servers and wait staff were polite and attentive enough. The only "con" is small, but for a restaurant that is trying to be a little more upscale for the area it should be a big deal. After I poured my beer into my glass my wife noticed lip marks on my glass, not slight but full on chapstick lip marks. Also a woman at the bar complained about her wine glass being dirty while we were there. Overall we enjoyed our food and experience and were very happy to have a high quality meal with a couple drinks and an app for under $100. I would totally recommend this for a nice date night with great food at a reasonable price and a great location between Brevard and Hendersonville.

   We made reservations for Valentine’s Day far in advance to ensure we were covered. We had an 8:15 reservation, but when we arrived we were told there would be a wait. We were seated 40 minutes later & informed some items on the menu were now unavailable. I ordered a mocktail & received the wrong one, but when I stopped the server to correct the issue, they removed the drink from the table without offering to let me finish it while they made the correct one. We have enjoyed R&B in the past, but it appeared that they were unprepared for the Valentine’s volume & weren’t able to offer great customer service to cover the deficit. We will go again on a slower night & hope to enjoy the precious experience of quiet, high quality dining we have had in the past.

   Consistent great service and excellent flavorful food keep me coming back. The cozy atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I highly recommend R & B.

   The fried chicken had too much salt though breaded nice and crispy. The trout was good the risotto lacked flavor. The carrot cake was very good

   We enjoyed our first trip to Root & Bone. The decor is eclectic and the staff was wonderful. Special shout out to Josh for taking great care of us. He was fun and made great recommendations. We started with the BLT appetizer which was yummy. My husband had the meatloaf which was amazing. I had shrimp and grits which were ok, but I would try something different next time. We will definitely return.

    Good drink menu. Lovely carrot cake. Trout with mushroom risotto very tasty. Husband not mad for the meatloaf. Looks like it will be a fun place for a drink outside when the weather is warmer.
