ROMA, an Italian eatery in Rice Village, is Houston's premier Italian restaurant, known for its homemade traditional pastas, its creative contemporary Italian cuisine, and its fine wine program.

ROMA was called one of "Houston's Best New Restaurants" by CultureMap when it first opened in 2019. And Houstonia magazine has called it one of their editors' favorite Italian restaurants in the city.

In 2020, ROMA launched what would become one of the city's most successful virtual wine dinner programs, often "hosting" more than 80 guests weekly in their homes as Italian winemakers joined from Italy.

That has inspired Shanon Scott to take his wine program to the next level. "Our goal is to make ROMA one of Houston's top wine destinations by the end of 2021," says Shanon.

Amazing! Charming, delicious and special. The food was wonderful and the service was impeccable. I brought clients from out of town and they loved it.

We booked at 9:30 but told us they closed when arrived at 9:30. We’re not properly received

Hani, shame on you! Your reservation was at 9:30, you arrived at 9:50. You were sent a reminder text at 9:45 saying that your reservation was past due. If you would have called and said that you were running late on on the way would have gladly kept the kitchen open for YOU. I do not understand why you would want to hurt a small locally owned restaurant with such a bad review when you never dined here? Shanon

We dined at Roma on Saturday, October 26. We come to Houston every 2-3 months. Roma is always one of our stops. The food is delicious. The bread, salad, and entrees are amazing. The service is always top-notch, but on Saturday it was very busy with a large party on the patio and people pouring in. Giorgio made the best recommendations on wine and beer and as always, was so kind. What impressed us the most is that every single member of the waitstaff acknowledged us every time they passed our table. From the gentleman who poured the water and brought the bread, to the servers who had the tables around us, every one of them asked us if we were ok, how the food was, did we need anything, etc. After a long day, we left Roma full of good food and wine and completely relaxed. It's why we keep going back.
