The cuisine served at the restaurant is traditional "kaiseki" cuisine prepared by chef Daisuke Hayashi. He has been trained at "Kikunoi" and his proven cooking techniques have been appreciated by many customers. His cuisine is based on dashi and the flavors of the seasonal ingredients themselves.

The interior had been made in Kyoto and shipped to London to be assembled by the craftsmen from Nakamura Sotoji Komuten, one of the world's leading experts in the Sukiya style.

This project started with a desire to follow in the footsteps of our predecessors and to spread the still developing category of Japanese food culture, kaiseki, to the world.

                  Absolutely amazing. Each dish was gorgeous and the flavors were so clean, interesting and delicious. We were at the bar seating on ground level and got to see the chef/owner create some dishes and use his knife. Went here for a birthday lunch on Saturday. We were the only ones there for a while, am told it gets buzzy in the evenings. We loved the restful feel with the focus on food and time to chat with the staff.

                  Roketsu provided an amazing dining experience. The food was not only incredibly delicious but showcased a truly thoughtful menu, with each course beautifully presented. The staff, including Chef Hayashi, were all kind, attentive, and welcoming, explaining each course as it was served and readily answering any questions. They even surprised us with a special dessert to celebrate our anniversary, which was a lovely touch. I surprised my wife with a visit for our 9th wedding anniversary, hoping to recapture the wonderful memories of our time in Japan, and Roketsu truly delivered and exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend it for any special occasion, and if possible, I'd be a regular!

                  We had a magical evening and felt like we'd spent an evening in Japan. The food was delicious and the service amazing. We can't wait to come back and try the seasonal menu later in the year. One of our all time favourite meals!

                  The service and the staff were amazing. Maybe it’s a matter of culture, or we’re lacking knowledge of the Japanese traditional cuisine (although we eat a lot Japanese) but it was too minimal, too basic . Nothing was brilliant or exciting about the food. If it was a street food experience so it could have been nice but for a luxury experience restaurant it didn’t work for us.
