   Chicken sandwich needed a sauce or something to liven it up. California slaw was also in need of a dressing to counter dryness. Mac n Cheese and Chowder were excellent.

   The food and drinks were great as well as our servers. However when we arrived for our 615 reservation they didn’t have a table for us and wanted us to wait 20 minutes. Instead we sat at the bar but I believe maybe this is something the restaurant should be prepared for in the future is having a table ready for reserved parties.

   We had an 8:45 reservation and as we were walking down the street in the rain at 8:47 the hostess called me twice and sent a text asking if we were coming. During the second call I explained that I am opening the door and looking at you. We ordered appetizers and our entrees. They came out together. There was no warning that since the kitchen was closing they would not be able to properly course the food. The server suggested the short ribs. Two of us ordered the short ribs and they were exceptionally fatty. When they checked on us I shared my disappointment and they removed one entree from the bill. Our server took my daughter’s dessert order and immediately returned with it while the appetizer and entrees were still on the table. I would suggest that if the kitchen closes at 9 pm they should not schedule 8:45 reservations.

   The food was absolutely delicious and so were the drinks. The service on the other hand was subpar for a not busy Tuesday early evening. The waiter was very inattentive. We got our appetizer from the kitchen before we even received our drinks and when the waiter came over to take our order, he realized he never brought us our drinks. They were sitting on the bar for at least 10 minutes. There was also another person that seemed to be from management that was checking in to see if we were enjoying everything and offered to bring more sauce for the table in which she returned 15 minutes later without any of the sauce. This place has great food and a great atmosphere but every time I have come, there has been subpar service.

   Excellent food and service! Celebrated a birthday here with a family of 4. We were quickly seated on what we thought would be a busy St. Patrick's day weekend. Our server brought our drinks very quickly and appetizer arrived within minutes. Our meals also came out very fast and were delicious. Our server was extremely attentive, refilling drinks, and checking in on us. Also ordered dessert which we thoroughly enjoyed. The restaurant is a must-visit and we highly recommend!

   I dined here for my lunch break with a few coworkers. Revel has a great lunch menu with an assortment of starters, handhelds, flatbreads, soups, salads, and a few lunch portioned entrees. I got the lobster roll and it was delicious. The buttery roll was overflowing with tender lobster, mayo, lemon, chives, and celery. I ordered fries for my side, but could have also ordered slaw or chips or a salad for a small up-charge.

    Huge disappointment. Our group came here for lunch before a show at Heinz Hall since it was within walking distance. Extremely slow service with just three other tables while we were there. Grilled chicken salads were mediocre. Sat for 40 minutes before we were given our drinks and sat another 10 minutes after that to order our food. Once we received our food, there was no followup other than to see if we wanted our check. What a waste of money and two hours of our day.
