   Accueil chaleureux et amical. Félicitations au chef Alexandre Vachon qui s’est surpassé en ce début d’année. Son gigot d’agneau était particulièrement succulent. Le service était assuré avec professionnalisme et grande gentillesse. Vraiment, un endroit incontournable pour bien célébrer le Jour de l’An.

   Extraordinary experience with the tasting menu as well as a la carte selections, each expertly prepared and presented. The professional waitstaff, exceptional sommelier, and excellent wine list made for wonderful meals in a beautiful setting. The sablefish is not to be missed, and the presentation of local cheeses was delightful.

   This is a very classic « French » experience. A lovely amuse buche, followed by a 3 course meal with a parting sweet. The selection of Quebec cheeses was excellent. I would recommend getting a cheese course ( with or without desert). The sommelier knew her stuff also. Beautiful dishes , nicely paced.

   Exactly what you would expect from a Relais & Chateaux property - top notch quality food and service. Everything was wonderful and distinctive. Every course and choice was unique. We opted for the chef's menu and every course was outstanding. I was a little apprehensive about the duck egg, but it turned out to be out of this world and my wife and I have told several people of the wonderful combination of flavors. Our only regret is not having the recipe! A memorable meal and evening.

   Overall, we truly love this restaurant and come often. This time was the first time we tried the eight course tasting menu. My husband had the omnivore menu which had many varied options and the presentation was spectacular. I had the vegetarian menu, which I find was a bit lacking. I was hoping they would have a few more creative vegetable dishes; many dishes on the menu were with a lot of carbs at every dish. For example the duck egg with the buttery bread sticks and then the mushroom tart and then the brioche with almond paste and then pain doré for dessert. It was honestly too many bread dishes and I feel like Le Hatley needs to improve the vegetarian tasting menu.
