The idea was to purchase a ton of grapes a year in order to produce a small amount of wine for family and friends. However, demand soon changed that plan and Krutz Family Cellars continues to grow in an effort to supply that demand. In 2011 Bryan and Cole Krutz joined their brother Patrick as owners and Krutz Family Cellars is now a family owned winery located in Sonoma County. Krutz Beckstoffer Sauvignon Blanc, Melrose Vineyard Bursting with tropical aromatics of stone fruits and melons. The flavors of honeydew melon, white peach and a touch of citrus are found woven through this rare, old vine Sauvignon Blanc from the Napa Valley. Magnolia Chardonnay, Santa Lucia Highlands Floral aromas are matched with undertones of stone fruit. A juicy, slightly weighted mid-palate from the neutral oak barrels seamlessly transitions to minerality and a bright acidity. Hand picked, whole cluster pressed and sourced from two sustainable vineyards in the heart of the Santa Lucia Highlands. Magnolia Cabernet Sauvignon, Sonoma County Medium bodied, with aromatics of dark and lush fruit with notes of blackberry jam and cedar spice. A juicy mid-palate of wild, dark forest berries and pencil shavings with a well- integrated and soft tanning structure that guides the smooth, long finish. Krutz Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley A beautiful dark garnet color and a class Napa Valley cabernet built around a rich and supple core of dark cherry, cassis and dried berries. Full bodies, the wine displays richness, depth of fruit, and a lingering finish with notes of dark chocolate and cedar. Taste 4 incredible wines, paired with small plates. Join us at Rebecca's for a tasting of 4 different red wines.... Etude Pinot Noir This dark ruby-red Pinot Noir is bright and juicy. Fragrant aromas of red cherry, cranberry, and cassis sit alongside lifted dusty rose and tobacco leaf, while crushed stone and minerality support the vibrant fruit. The wine finishes long, smooth, and round with nuanced hints of graphite, clove spice, and earthy minerality. Penfolds Cabernet Shiraz Savoury nuances of freshly sliced fennel, pan wilted raddichio leaf and pickled turnips. Red liquorice and cherry provide a sweet counterpoint. Evolved tannins seamlessly drive the structure. A well-defined focus on the palate. Pessimist Red Blend This wine is powerful and intensely aromatic out of the glass, presenting fragrances of blueberry, boysenberry and black plum. Massive in weight yet elegantly structured, this wine is a powerhouse that reveals itself gradually yet deliberately. It finishes smoothly with leisure and length, on notes of blackberry, espresso bean and pomegranate. Stags Leap Petite Syrah Captivates with a fragrant nose of bramble berry fruit, freshly baked blackberry pie, boysenberry, black plum, and black cherry cobbler, with hints of graham cracker crust, lifted lavender, and thyme. Sinewy, firm tannins lend a viscous texture, while the long and punchy finish leaves a lasting impression. Taste 4 incredible wines, paired with small plates. Tickets are just $60 per person.
