   We had a delicious New Years Eve dinner at Rays. The restaurant was full so drink service was a little slow but both the manager and our server checked in on us. Food was delicious and generous portions - especially for a prix fixe menu - which offered a lot of options.

   Wife and I went early for NYE a la carte menu. Had raw oysters , calamari, salad, gumbo and lace basket dessert. All very good. Had two Vesper martinis each, delicious. Only weakness was our server didn't seem capable of multitasking and it took more time than it should to get drinks, clear two extra place settings from our table, etc. She worked hard no doubt but just seemed a bit overwhelmed. We'll be back soon, ambience is great too.

   Food selection is good. Wiish they had an omelet bar and a salad bar, or at least some kind of vegetable.

   The entire experience was excellent with the exception of their being out of the prime rib at 6:00 pm. Will definitely go back!

   This was incredibly disappointing!!!! I would like to start this review noting that I emailed Rays Killer Creek privately and got no response. Our reservation was on Christmas Eve. We have gone here for the last 4 years but will not return next year. Service all around was NOT good and incredibly slow. We waited at the bar until our table was ready and had a bar tender (in the midst of a very crowded bar) completely ignore us as he was on his phone. It appeared that they had overbooked for Christmas Eve which was chaotic. We had a later reservation and had to wait 30 minutes for our table, which they apparently gave to someone else. Others at the bar waited over an hour. By the time we actually sat down we were told they were out of certain dishes that we saw others getting later. 3 out of 4 of us got physically sick from the food. You know it is bad when you are just glad you finally get to leave.

   We’ve made going to Rays a yearly Christmas Eve tradition and this year was unfortunately not a great experience. We had a 7:30 reservation and waited until 8:30 to be seated. There were no apologies or acknowledgements just matter of fact we are behind. The server only came a few times once seated and we had to request the same things multiple times. My steak was room temperature and average at best and the lobster Mac and cheese was only warm not piping hot. We will not be going back next Christmas Eve.

   We have been going to Rays for many years and it’s one of our favorite places. But it was our first trip since it changed management. We arrived 15 minutes early for our 7:30 reservations. However, we were not seated for almost an hour. This was odd because there were a good number of tables open. There seemed to be a disconnect about getting people seated. While we waited we went to the bar area to get a drink. They only had 3 bartenders to take care of the entire bar area as well as all the bar tables. They needed 1 or 2 more. It took a long time for the bartender to take our order and then longer to actually get our drinks. He kept telling us he’d be right back with our drinks, but his main focus was all the bar tables. Once we were seated, our waitress was amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed her service and recommendations. The food was very good. However, they did undercook our filets - rare instead of medium rare and medium rare instead of medium. But we were okay with that because the quality of the steaks was very good. All in all we still just love Rays. Great location, great ambience, servers are wonderful and we have always loved the food. I would give 5 stars if they were more efficient getting parties seated and they improve the efficiency of the bar area.
