The Ratskeller is a historic cellar restaurant that sees itself as a provider of upscale Bavarian cuisine. The restaurant consists of four different concepts: the main restaurant, the Franconian-Baden wine tavern, Jean-Claude´s Bistro and the Royal Dolores Bar & Pub.     Great atmosphere, quality setting and superb service, food was good, if a little expensive. Only 1 type of savinguon blanc wine of which had already run out of (the alternative white wine was not particularly great), but still pricey. All in all, an exceptional place for a meal and highly recommended *****

    Definitely a main stay in Marienplatz. Different venues to take advantage of during a weekend visit. Food is I guess Bavarian with some curious dishes to try. Atmosphere is cozy with a bit of magical view into a happy Bavarian past.
