    I avoided Raphael for a while because I was put off by the prices. However, I am glad I tried it as a special treat. The food is innovative and excellent. The service was friendly and helpful. This is a restaurant where all the staff are committed to creating a wonderful dining experience. They started our meal by bringing us two free amuse-bouches and ending with some tiny treats also. This is authentic Peruvian cuisine with a modern edge. Highly recommended. I wish they were also open for lunch.

    Very nice presentation of all dishes. Francisco was extremely helpful in helping us choosing our dishes, explaining all the ingredients, polite, good sense of humour, all in all a great waiter! We will be back.

    Food’s always delicious; service subpar this time - several mistakes and delays, and lack of situational awareness generally. Left without ordering dessert given delays experienced directly and witnessed happening to other customers seated nearby. Potential to be a top ten resto in Ottawa overall. Food’s already there (for me); service needs to catch up. Will return nonetheless.

    Delicious Valentine's experience. Everything was a delight including the music and the special Peruvian version of Tiramisu with a visit by the chef and owner. I'm not a fan of beef but the beef braised cheeks were soft and the sauce was hearty. All other dishes were filled with thoughtful, playful and melt-in-the-mouth flavour. The food was a set menu for this occasion and well worth the price. Wine is very expensive. A minor snag-the view is one of scaffolding and tarps as the building is under repairs but this will change in time. Temporary Signage is missing.

    This was our first time dining at Raphael and, with a set 4-course menu, we had no idea what to expect. For both my wife and I, we were very impressed by EVERYTHING, from the hostess to the servers, but especially the chef’s creations. It was a most excellent meal and we cannot wait to go back again…!

    The food was outstanding and the service top-notch, in a nicely decorated venue and intimate ambiance. A bit pricey but well worth it! We will 100% go again.
