This was our first visit to this new restaurant - and we'll be back! Pros: Excellent food, especially hamachi appetizer, scallops special, biscuits and desserts. Attentive, friendly service. Cons: Espresso was ordinary and could have been hotter. A lot of tables in a small space with no soft surfaces makes for a lot of noise - hope they can find a way to lower it a bit.

This is a winner! Sophisticated, casual, hip and you don’t have to drive into LA to enjoy it. Only been open 3 months and it’s packed for good reason. It’s designed in be a local neighborhood venue and it is. The chief came from Cleo’s and Fig and Olive two of our past favorites so the menu is first delicious and creative without being cute. Loved the food!

Everything was great except for the cheddar chive biscuits. Very hard and dry. Overcooked and cold. Probably would have been really good if they were baked ten minutes less and they were fresh. The rest of our food was really great. Even the soda was great! Waiter Alec was amazing as well. Will definitely be back!

Truly lovely food and very friendly, attentive service. Everything tasted great and beautifully presented… My only drawback was feeling a little cramped in the tiny booth but it won’t stop me from coming back. Fun vibe!

We loved Prose. There were three of us and we shared everything. The octopus starter is outstanding and was our favorite dish. The burger was delicious and easily shared. The staff is very welcoming and the chef/owner takes the time to visit and chat with each table. We will definitely be back.
