Experience dining approximately 30 feet below ground in historic caverns that were hand built in the 1800's. Accidentally discovered in 2018 during the building of our parent restaurant, Hudson and Essex, we have refurbished the caverns once used to store beer before air conditioning into a one of a kind dining experience. Every Friday and Saturday night we provide an 8 course dinner with wine pairings from our home winery ( Cypress Hill Winery ) using wines made with California grapes. Prepaid reservation only. Also available to book out for events.

Phoenix Brewing Beer Dinner

Join us in collaboration w/ Phoenix Brewing Company as we partner in a 6 course dinner experience. We'll pair dishes w/ selected beers. You'll be 30 ft underground in historic caverns dating back to the 1800's, originally built to ferment and store lager. With our caverns' rich brewing history and prohibition possibilities matched with one of the area's most renowned modern breweries, this is an event you surely should not miss. Limited seating, we will sell out at 30 max guests for this event. Credit card required for reservation, cancellation fee of $25 per guest if not communicated at least 24 hours before the event date and time. Payment for the event to be made the night of the event. $85 per person plus sales tax and gratuity.

We had an excellent experience! We went for a special occasion, and we weren’t disappointed. The staff was top notch, and made us feel comfortable and special, they were able to answer any questions we had and the owner came around to greet each table. The ambiance was unique (just remember you are underground so the smell may be a bit different and there could be some leaks now and then) but we thought everything was just lovely. The food was creative, thoughtfully prepared and delicious. We purchased some bottles of wine and some beer to go after dinner and we were able to take our menus home-since each one is printed with the individual diner’s name on it for an extra special touch.

We had the Friday 4-course dinner. The choices for each course were well thought out and were perfectly prepared. All four of our dinners got exactly what they wanted and loved what they got. The wine pairings (and dessert bourbon!) were spot on. The dining room was cloistered and elegant at the same time. All of us are planning another trip from Columbus, so we can visit this restaurant again. Mansfield, you have a real gem here.

Food, service and ambiance were extremely unique and exceptional. The location is rich in history and was happily explained to us by the staff. Comfortable and chic setting. Unique and delicious food set with pairings their own wine. Service that was both professional and attentive - yet relatable and inviting. I can’t say enough about the entire experience

Definitely a one of a kind dining experience. The cavern’s atmosphere was quiet and intimate. The food was delicious. We truly enjoyed our evening.
