   Our server greeted us but never asked us if we wanted drinks besides water. I had to ask. We ordered the most expensive appetizer, the King Crab Bruschetta, at $25 and it came out totally cold. Someone at the table next to us ordered the grouper and I asked her how it was and she said it was ok, but ended up sending it back because the fish didn’t have any flavor and the sauce was bad. We ordered steaks, which were good. When our drinks were empty our server never came back to ask us if we wanted a second. The music is nice but way too loud. It’s hard to have a conversation. Overall, it was ok, but the level of service and execution expected for the price just aren’t there. They have a long way to go if they’re going to make it.

   Outstanding experience at Porta Rossa on a busy Friday. Food was top notch - started with the arancini and the tuna crudo and both were perfectly presented and just the right size. Second course for us was the lamb strangozzi and oxtail gnocchi. Again, great dishes with the gnocchi vey well balanced in the creamy sauce with a hint of mint. The strangozzi was our favorite, full of flavor. We also had the deconstructed tiramisu to end the evening, a great shared dessert albeit a bit too sweet for us after a truly great meal. Service was spot on - friendly and attentive and we never felt rushed. The location is very convenient in downtown Hudson. Nice decorations but it does get loud once it fills up - and it did on a Friday night.

   Great new direction for this place! Be patient with the waitstaff and runners. They are young and learning the ropes!

   Celebrated my wife's birthday party. With 7 of our best friends.When the owner comes out to greet us, that tells you she cares about her customers. They help recommending wine selection with your meal. You can't go wrong. Excellent meal.

   Longtime FlipSide customers so we were excited to try Porta Rossa! Inside - designed beautifully. The bar seats are extremely comfortable. Booth seating has plenty of room for 4 people. We ordered the Sourdough Focaccia with whipped ricotta, wild flower honey & house-made olive tapenade. Wow! Mouthwatering. Bread was fresh and tasted like a warm cloud with tons of flavor. We ordered the Autumn Squash Triangoli (like  ravioli), 18oz Prime Bone in Ribeye and the special Lamb Chops served with risotto. Everything was delicious! We will definitely save this spot for more special occasions as it’s pricey. Service was outstanding. The bartender stopped by for our thoughts on our drinks. The employees care about your feedback and want to make sure they don’t miss a beat.

   Epic!!!! The best part is the employees seem like they love their job!! The host, bartender and waitress were truly amazing!! The food was delicious!!

    Just an amazing dining experience! Everything was amazing from the grilled Octopus app to the halibut and wagyu hanger steak. We will be back often!
