   Restaurant did not have a record of the reservation, but had seats available. Food was mediocre. Cod was on the menu but not available. You are given a ridiculously tiny portion of tartare sauce and any more costs extra. It wasn't very good, however, so I was not tempted to spend more. Our server was prompt and helpful. Seating is very tight.

   We went to Poppies based on a program called "A Taste of London" here in the states. The gentleman that hosted the show was a chef, so we thought we'd check it out on our visit to London. We loved that we could choose the fish we wanted. The food was very good.

   I was not happy with the food based on the price and presentation. The fries were lacking flavor and the cod was dry.

   A local walking tour guide recommended this for fish and chips and Poppies did not disappoint. We enjoyed our meal and the service.

   Place smelling so much oil. When u leave from restaurant, you will smell from your clothes all day. We tried calamari and fish and chips, calamari was bad. Fish and chips deliocus. Waiters are very kind and friendly.

   We were told we had to stop here for fish and chips. It was good but not the best we had in London. The atmosphere was fun and service was great!

   It's always a pleasure to go to Poppies. The food is great, the service is excellent, and even though there was a lot of noise from the kids, it's a very pleasant place. And I want to highlight the work of the waiters and the service in general.

    Food and service were excellent. The haddock and sole were cooked well - batter was crisp and not oily, and the fish flesh was moist, not dry. Chips were good.
