   The hostess was rude and did not let us sit at an empty table. Restaurant was understaffed and everyone was under pressure.

   Consistently good food and great service. The staff at UCLA Plateia are amazing. The outdoor patio is a nice relaxing place to eat. It’s conveniently located on campus. Nice vibe. If you are in Westwood, this is a special place to eat. Don’t miss it.

   One Star - Extremely Disappointing Experience Our experience at this restaurant was unacceptable. From the moment we arrived, the manager was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. What really pushed this over the edge was how we were treated because of our service dog. Instead of being welcomed like any other customer, we were immediately questioned about the legitimacy of our dog — in a tone that was accusatory and downright hostile. The manager seemed completely unaware (or just didn’t care) about the laws protecting individuals with service animals. It was embarrassing, stressful, and completely unnecessary. We tried to explain calmly, but the attitude never changed. We were made to feel like we didn’t belong. The rest of the staff seemed uneasy too, probably because of how their manager was handling things. This is not how anyone should be treated — especially when following the law and just trying to enjoy a meal. We won’t be returning, and I hope management gets proper training on ADA compliance and basic customer service.

   We hosted a business dinner for a visiting guest and some faculty and students, and the food was very good, the ambiance was energetic. Only small downside was it was a bit noisy and hard to hear each other speak. Also, sometimes service was a bit slow and we had to go to the front desk to flag someone down to bring us the orders. Overall we would come here again as it is a wonderful venue for large and small occasions.

   Superb experience returning to Plateia. Great food, and ambience. The hostess was a bit disengaged and not so warm on our arrival. Otherwise, things were great.
