You’ll find Plate at No. 6 down a cobbled lane in the heart of Windsor, nestled amongst the pubs and boutiques of the old town. We are a tapas restaurant, drawing upon the culinary riches of the Mediterranean Basin; our plates reflect the diversity of cuisines found in Spain, Turkey, France, Morocco, Italy, Greece and Lebanon. All our dishes are created by our head chef Olindo who draws on these inspirations his signature dishes including a seafood gnocchi.

The open kitchen and lime wash walls define the chic, intimate dining space of Plate at No.6. Our famous Mediterranean warmth and relaxed ambience welcomes work mates and first dates, quiet drinks, and family celebrations.

A selection of wines have been selected by Sicilian sommelier and Italian wine expert Virgilio Gennaro and cocktails are designed by Regan Fernandes to compliment the fresh, coastal flavours that will revolve around seasonal and local availability. The only thing you’ll find in our freezer will be ice cream.

Lovely experience. Tiny boutique dining area, lovely cocktails and delightful front of house staff. Difficult surroundings to work in, but all done with a smile and trying to make sure everyone was having the best experience they could on a busy Valentine's night.

Two of us ordered 7 of the tapas plates. Mediterranean veg were outstanding. Service was professional. Great wine list. Beautiful setting, light & airy. They made us a lovely little doggie bag to take home!

Must stress that everyone working here is absolutely lovely, professional and helpful. Lovely decor and location too. The food was not that nice (or not to our taste) and quite expensive. Of everything we ordered the croquetas were the nicest. Really fluffy inside and crunchy on the outside and a lovely taste. Everything else was a bit odd. The sea bass has a strong vinegar dressing, the chorizo, meatballs and polenta were really sweet (maybe covered in honey). the sea bass tapas sized plate was £19 but disappointing in size and taste for that money. Really a shame because the location is so special and this restaurant should be turning people away, but on a Friday night (January) it was half empty. I’m sort of local and if the food was more authentic to the mediteranean cuisine I would come back again and again and I would recommend it to everyone.

A well run restaurant with attention to detail. Food was very good as was the wine although there is a limited choice of wine and only one beer on offer. We will definitely go back when in the area. A special thank you to Jake who served us.

I booked this restaurant for a dinner with colleagues. The server who greeted us was very nice, but no offer of water/anything for the table whilst we waited for our last guest; we were the only people in the restaurant at the point so it's not because it was busy. The food was mostly tasty, but the meatballs were mainly breadcrumb and the portions were small for the price.

Something very different, and the food was really good and varied options for tapas enjoyment. However as with previous visits before you went tapas route, your wine selection- variety and quantity you stock, let’s you down. Very annoying to keep running out of a wine we’ve selected mid meal.

Food very good and nice ambiance….bit odd the Xmas decs hadn’t been taken down considering it’s mid Jan. Unfortunately we had a dirty wine glass on our table that went unnoticed and was then filled with wine. The staff seemed inexperienced and kept going in and out of the restaurant and fussing over the door (which kept getting stuck) bit annoying as we were sat by the door! There is only one toilet and it wasn’t particularly clean. We had to ask for toilet roll and the hand dryer wasn’t working.

Nice food, good portions, great location. Unfortunately no fish or seafood as no delivery that morning due to poor weather. I know that might not be a problem, but I brought a group of colleagues one of whom was not a big meat eater so not ideal and probably would have gone elsewhere if we knew in advance. The white wine selection was also minimal 'because it is January' and I'm afraid the service was pretty lacklustre too. I had been told by a few people that this new addition to Windsor was fabulous so maybe we just had an off night.

The food is really good . The restaurant was really busy so the night we were in they had run out of the fish dishes . The menu is so good that we didn't feel like we were missing out . Would definitely recommend

Very disappointed with this restaurant. We arrived with my elderly parents to discover the restaurant was closed. They accepted the booking and it turns out they are closed in Mondays. Didn’t have the decently or simply couldn’t be bothered to get in touch and tell us. Had to drag my parents who can hardly walk around Windsor to find an alternative. Really poor behaviour. Never visiting this restaurant in the future. They ruined a family day out. Unforgivable.
