Very very nice experience. Delicious menu with something for everyone. Service staff was hard working and attentive on a really busy night. Very professional and yet honestly pleasant. Definitely worth the visit and a place to come back to.

Pillar in Bishop Arts is a dining experience that truly stands out! Chef Peja has curated a menu that is both inventive and satisfying, making this restaurant a must-visit. We started with the tuna carpaccio, beef tartare, and the standout Nashville Hot Oysters—an absolute must-try! The oysters were perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of heat and left us wanting more. Next, we enjoyed both the burrata salad and the beet salad, each showcasing fresh ingredients and thoughtful presentation. For our entrees, we had the Branzino and the Duck, Leek, and Bacon Pie, with the Agnolotti on the side. The branzino was cooked to perfection with a crispy skin, while the pie was rich, hearty, and packed with flavor. The agnolotti was a delicious accompaniment and tied everything together beautifully. We ended the meal with the coconut pie, which was absolutely amazing—a sweet and satisfying conclusion to a fantastic dinner. Pillar’s ambiance is warm and inviting, and the service was impeccable throughout the evening. Chef Peja has truly created something special in Bishop Arts, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. If you’re looking for an exceptional dining experience, Pillar is the place to go!

Service and attention to detail are to be commended as it was a very busy evening. The 4 of us all had different entrees and while we did send back 1 side dish, the entrees were pretty solid. Here are the 4 we had, ranked in order based on taste alone: 1. Branzino 2. Burger 3. Steak (cooked to perfection, but it was heavy on salt) 4. Fried chicken (great taste but a large portion was soggy) The two desserts were fantastic and we will be heading back to try a few other items. (The meat pie looked pretty awesome)

we were so excited to try this new concept because we love mot hai ba. however, what we love about the quaintness of mot hai ba was lost on us at pillar. it is indeed hard to overlook the shadow of boulevardier. but that aside it was difficult to discern what the overall concept was. we weren't sure if it was supposed to be italian or southern of some kind of hybrid. for the price point it was lacking in the kind of service we expect from mot hai ba. sitting at the bar we definitely felt a lack of service. the one cocktail we ordered, a mezcal negroni, was served poorly over crushed ice and not the usual single cube that it deserves. the quality of the food was also not up to par with what we would expect from this group. i hope this new concept can survive and thrive in oak cliff but it seems to me there are a lot of kinks to work out.

This restaurant is pretty and fresh. The wallpaper brightens the room. It was busy, but the noise level wasn’t bad. Our server was knowledgeable and had great timing. Most importantly the food was so well prepared. We had the fried avocado, which had big flavor, then the tuna burger, the pork rib, and the agnolotti. All were very good. We love Mot Hai Ba and now we love Pillar, too.
