Pied à Terre is London’s longest standing Michelin starred restaurant, having opened in 1991, and offers Omnivore and Plant-Based tasting menus. Wine, cocktail and Zero cocktail flights are designed to accompany menus and an extensive wine list is also available. A three course Lunch Menu is available at £69 Thursday-Saturday.
The team at Pied à Terre prides themselves on outstanding and innovative food, informative yet relaxed and personable service, and one of the best wine cellars in the capital. In addition to an elegant dining room in the Fitzrovian townhouse, there are 3 private dining spaces.
Pied à Terre is owned and run by founder David Moore. Head Chef Alberto Cavaliere combines classic French techniques with delicate and fresh Asian seasoning, achieving a wonderful depth of flavour in both his omnivore and plant-based menus.

With only 8 seats available per sitting, enjoy Head Chef Guillermo’s innovative menu prepared right before you, and experience the thrills of live cooking in an intimate setting with a unique front-row experience! Introducing Guillermo Guillermo trained at the Alain Ducasse group at The Dorchester under Jocelyn Herland and Christophe Marleix, later working with 3 Michelin star chef Anne-Sophie Pic at the Four Seasons and at notable London venues like Annabel’s and Tavolino Ristorante. His cooking combines bold flavours from his childhood in the Philippines, refined through classical French techniques and enhanced with the finest British seasonal produce. About the menu Showcasing a multi-course tasting menu for £95, you will love everything from the Salmon Kinilaw with Ginger Vinegar Dressing, Lamb Caldereta Pithivier with Pequeillos Pomme Purée and Lamb Jus, and Guillermo’s gorgeous Ginger Stem Leche Flan.     What a truly remarkable experience. We are both vegan and had the plant based tasting menu and I included the wine pairing. Every dish reached unimaginable levels of taste flavor and texture while being visually stunning. The wine pairings accentuated the most significant notes of the dish and of the wine. The menu changes seasonally and I can’t wait for the next menu to see what incredible greatness and remarkable tastes they can bring forth. The vanilla bean dessert stole the show but the plant based tortellini with kale and pesto blew our minds.

    What a treat. The welcome was friendly and the service attentive. The food was staggeringly good and the flexibility in choosing from the tasting menus was amazing. Certainly one of the best tasting menus we have had. The plant based dishes were innovative and tasty. Thank you for a wonderful evening. If you are coming from far away be prepared to get a late train back as a meal of this quality is rightfully long and slow and relaxed. AND it is dog friendly. Leo had a wonderful time.

    Exquisite flavours in beautifully crafted food. Each course of the tasting menu was outstanding and the wine pairings matched perfectly. We love this restaurant for its culinary expertise alongside knowledgeable staff and a warm and unpretentious atmosphere. For us it ranks among London’s best restaurants.

    We had the plant based menu paired with the cocktail flight. Every dish was carefully thought and crafted as one would expect from a Michelin starred restaurant. Service was great and attentive, they also prepared a note since it was our anniversary and went the extra mile when we asked if they had an empty bottle of the wine we ordered to bring home as a memory, finding for us not only one but two of them.

    Absolutely incredible dining experience. We had the 8 course plant based menu. Our favorites: the “tuna” crudo, the celeriac, and the white chocolate cremeux.

    We had a delightful experience at this restaurant. We ate the plant based tasting menu with wine pairing. The food was delicious and the service was attentive without being intrusive. The chef's creations were inventive, delicious and beautifully presented. We rated 4 out of 5 for value for money because what we selected was very pricey. Going again we would pick a la carte. The wine pairing had some great choices, the best beaujolais I have ever tasted, a super white from the Western Cape and a sweet champagne.

    Food: We opted for the 10-course Vegan tasting menu, which began promisingly with a series of intriguing, beautifully presented, and flavorful dishes. However, the experience went down hill with the desserts, which were underwhelming, unpleasant and did not live up to the high standards set by the earlier courses. Ambiance: The ambiance was less than ideal, as I was seated directly in front of a glaring light throughout the two-hour meal, which detracted from the overall experience. My partner kept having to position his head to block the light from my eyes. Service: Unfortunately, the service was the weakest aspect of the evening. It began with our host asking if we’d like to check our coats, despite us being right in front of her and not wearing any. Constant interruptions of our conversation ensued with frequent and redundant inquiries about our experience—each time we finished a course, we were asked how we felt about that dish, sometimes more than once. At the end of the meal, we were even asked to declare our favorite course. Plates were cleared from one diner while the other was eating. A moment of confusion came with a crackers and dip dish, which was served in two parts, ten minutes apart. First, the crackers were brought out, and then the dip followed, with no explanation until we asked. Value: At nearly £300 for two (without alcohol), we did not feel that the meal provided value for money, especially given the lack of consistency in both the food and service. On the walk back to the hotel we passed place after place radiating light and laughter after our gloomy experience in a near empty restaurant.
