The food is always excellent. I felt sorry for the staff; the service was terrific, but they were understaffed, even though it's a small restaurant. I am unsure how they managed on a busy weeknight during the holiday season, but kudos to the manager/owner.

I'm a repeat customer here for dine-in and take-out. Their bread rolls for the table are my favorite. My favorite is adding grilled shrimp to my fettucine with wild mushrooms. My partner loves their meat sauces - Rigatoni bolognese or papperdelle with short rib ragu are his go-to's. Gets really busy during the evenings on Fri/Sat, so I recommend a reservation where possible.

An altogether excellent experience: great food and friendly, attentive service in a cozy though completely full restaurant during the height of the Saturday night dinner rush. Piccoli is one of our faves, and didn't disappoint in the least this time around. Good move to offer cocktails in addition to their excellent wine list, but there should be more choices than Espresso and a few other esoteric flavored Martinis. But quibbling aside, a super evening!

This restaurant is know for it's pasta it's specials, plus some unique wines. Parking is a bit rough. Reservations are a must. My wife and I both had the Squid ink pasta, each with different seafood, both were great. Our server met our every need. The restaurants take on Tartufo is different than most, but still very good.

All around disappointing. Although the service was lacking, this is not a review about that. This is a review about the food. It was terrible. My husband, friend, and I went for dinner on a recent weekend evening. My friend loves real Italian pasta and missed it since she moved from NYC. So we were excited to go when she came to visit. We chose Piccoli, but quickly regretted that decision. She ordered the Fettuccine. I ordered the black ink spaghetti with crab and my husband ordered the steak. Her Fettuccine was so bland she compared it to a frozen dinner. My spaghetti with blue crab was far too acidic and the "white wine sauce" was more like a (bad) seafood soup. My husband's steak came our raw. Literally. He ordered it medium and it came out Blue. We ended up leaving so angry and disappointed. TL;DR: don't waste your time nor money. There are far better Italian restaurants in Park Slope.

Food was very good, with the exception of the calamari. Overcooked and very rubbery!

They have good gluten free options - I believe the torrino cake was & it’s honestly one of the best desserts I’ve had in the city. I’d come back for another meal here
