Music is relatively loud for a sit down place. Food is really nice, try the sea bass. They could do with a better curtain to keep out the cold. We were sitting close to the door, and when other guests came in, it was uncomfortable for a bit

First visit but won’t be my last. We were a party of three, work peers, and we try to get out every few months to enjoy good food and drink. Started with the arancini, Caesar salad and beef carpaccio (which says for 2 pp but it could have fed at least four as an appetizer). Each was delicious - crisp romaine, plenty of shaved Parmesan, perfect “weight” salad dressing. Rice balls were crispy on the outside, savory on the inside. We followed that with the Chicken Milanese and my coworkers had the same thing - the pasta with lobster and shrimp. The chicken is an enormous serving easily a couple could split and get a pasta as a side! We couldn’t possibly have the dessert, but next time perhaps we’ll skip three appetizers and save room for dessert!

Great food and wonderful staff. We dined in a Friday night and it was definitely lively and loud in the small space so if you’re noise-averse, may be too much for you. Otherwise, had a great meal. Recommend the tiramisu and cacio e pepe.

This place became an instant favorite! It’s a candle lit ambiance, the music selection was vibing for NYE. The place is lowkey but feels very alive. Staff greeted us with smiles. Everywhere I turned staff and guest both looked happy to be there. We ordered polpo alla griglia, Pacchieri ai tre crostacei, Fusilloni di gragnano con scampi, and they were phenomenal. I had to compose myself and not lick the plate. chef’s kiss. We ended taking the tiramisu home. The food plating and dinnerware gave that authentic feeling we were searching for in our meal. The bartender perfectly crafted my old fashioned, 3x to be exact. Our server VICTOR was great, authentically attentive and friendly. We never waited more than a minute for his or other staff’s attention. It was the perfect place to send off 2024. Skipped all the city traffic and made it back to Nassau in time for the ball drop. Cant wait to return and try the rest of the menu.

My mother-in-law spent hours researching spots for a holiday gift card/surprise family dinner and landed on Piccola Cucina. The unassuming Casa is tucked away on a quiet street we might not have otherwise noticed, but you are greeted with warmth the moment you open the door. From the cozy lighting, to the gentleman making fresh pasta at the bar, to the friendly staff, it was Nona’s homey perfection from start to finish. Our server Cynthia offered great menu and wine guidance as we attempted to taste it all. The prices are very reasonable versus portion size. Octopus, Branzino, Gnocchi, and Osso Bucco Agnolotti were standouts. Can’t wait to be back!

It was exactly what we wanted for our Christmas Day in New York. Would 100% recommend and would love to go back. The food was delicious and the staff were wonderful and so friendly. It was great to be able to choose from the a la carte menu as often restaurants have a set menu on Christmas Day so this was an added bonus. Thank you for a great experience.
